Were factory leather seats ever offered in the TJ?

Have noticed this a few times . . . . leather seats in the TJ. Nothing is mentioned in the sales brochures. Currently looking at a very basic '06 'SE' model TJ. Beautiful leather seats that appear to be OEM. Anyone else know about the leather seats ?
I think they were included with the Rocky Mountain Special.
I saw one for sale in Nelson 10 years ago and yes they are beautiful seats.

edit, 10 years ago.... might have been the Apex.... but they were black

Love my Apex edition seats, they're definitely not real leather but mud and dust clean off of them just as easily. The colour is awesome and I they feel like they are little more "bolstery" than some other TJ seats. If I had to buy a newer Wrangler I'd be looking for leather for how easy it is to clean.

I have an '03 Rocky Mountain Edition too. It's silver and came with black vinyl seats. Unfortunately the driver's seat was badly worn in the usual spot. The passenger's side and the rear seat were both great. I replaced the front seats with black leather ones from a Hyundai Tiburon but I still have the rear seat.

Hopefully this saves you from freezing your butt off! 😊

I also have some hyundai seats to replace in my LJ. Sporty, comfy low back and heated. I still have to make the brackets to attach them. Have any pics to see what they look like? I created a thread about seat covers and got all kinds of good responses.

You're going to like those seats. (y) Interesting that you found seats with heaters. I looked for quite a while but didn't have any luck. I ended up installing Dorman heater kits and that worked out well.

Here's a thread I started a few years ago to show how I did it. Others have done the same or something similar.

Thank you so much. I’ll have a look. I did find it difficult to pull the trigger on $600 suspension seats like PRP as much as I like them. I used to have a set of corbeau suspension and the driver fatigue is minimized. Suspension seats are awesome.

I'm bringing this topic up as someone mentioned to me a couple days ago "are these factory leather seats"? To which I replied, i don't think so. Anyways, were the "Slate Grey" optional seats only offered in 03'? If so, I think I have them in my 05 and perhaps the previous owner(s) may have swapped them.

Jeep did sale some TJ’s and LJ’s with different seating options. But please be aware if it’s OEM, it is not real leather. Its fake leather.
A real leather seat would be evident by the price.
A real leather “slip cover” is a very cheap alternative. Although a real leather slip is likely rare, as I doubt covers use genuine leather. Show me different, as this is more of an opinion/theory.

Those Apex editions had some fake leather seats from the factory. OEM Jeep all the way.
Cognac, I believe was the color name for the Apex seats. They are really neat looking IMO.
Here are some brochures I collected.

Funny part is the sales price of $20,385.00, The Wrangler must be one of the best selling vehicle as far as holding it's
re-sale value. It sure beats my wife's 2016 MB E350 that we bought in 2018 and it had already lost 30% of it's value in 2 years

wow I like those. One of my biggest complaints about my TJ is a result of my use of it - wheeling with half doors and no windows, in the ultra-fine Colorado dust that's impossible to completely get out of the cloth seats. I've wanted something that I could wipe down with a damp cloth. Haven't ever pulled the trigger because I've never been able to look at some in person, and I'm also half afraid that leather or vinyl would have me sliding around on the seat which might be more annoying than the dust.

Could be aftermarket or are they vinyl? Have your checked the Quadratec catalogue, or katzkin for a similar look?

I know this not a 2006 SE, but a possible seat swap? Do you have pics of the seats in question?
