I’m no expert I’m trying to sell my jeep right now and wanted to get your guy’s take on my listing(s). Improvement ideas? I’m trying to sell quickly but $6600 would be the absolute lowest I can go. I’ve already put $200 into it since I bought it for $7000 and I think the aftermarket hard top and cool sliding windows is a good sell. My goal is if say they try to get me down to say $6500 I’ll go back to the $6800 and offer 4 studded snow tires.

In my area it seems I offer the best value and price. I see other good quality 2.5’s for $7400+ but they have like soft tops n’ shit and then obviously the 4.0’s from $8500-$15,000.

I have a listing on offer up but because that’s an app I can’t link it. 700+ people have viewed it. Only 4 messages though. 2 of the four asked for prices such as: $4500 and $5000😂

I'd say you have a decent listing. I hate to say it but a rebuilt title is somewhat of a black mark on a vehicle. I think your asking price is fair for a clean title, rebuilt status will take off $1k-2k in value. I know you're looking to counterbalance that with the new top and doors, but planning for about 40% return of investment on aftermarket parts is about as good as it can get. Have you posted your TJ in the for sale section on the forum too? And my final thing is (and once again, nothing personal, just me) I'd pull the final picture off the posting. I personally don't like people's photography project as a posting photo. It doesn't show the condition of the Jeep, extra parts, or maintenance you've put into it. Use that for your dating profile, FB, or your icon here. I'm a photographer as well so I'm not bashing on your creative ability, I just don't see the selling value of adding that to your posting. My $0.02. Hopefully someone comes over this weekend and drops a stack of bills for you this weekend!

You're getting those offers because of the rebuilt title you noted. The 4 cylinder models I've seen with that mileage usually have an asking price around $6k, but that's with a clean title.
If I was able to not put the rebuilt title thing I would. To me I’m willing to write it as a clean title but on the paperwork it says rebuilt so I feel that I would be lying if I said it was a clean title. What makes it not clean is a tiny tiny slight downward than normal bumper on the right side. Anyway I wish people would just come and see the jeep but I’ve yet to have that.

Yeah I posted it in the forms as well. Not sure if you’re right about the photography photo thing but you convinced me enough to just simply take it off. I know it’s a rebuilt title but I know the reason why it’s a rebuilt title and the reason is so minute that I would be willing to put as a clean title but if I did that I would be lying.

To be clear, I wasn't saying you should lie. I was just pointing out that a rebuilt title lowers the value of a vehicle.

Agreed with @il buono it wouldn't be an honest ad if you changed the title status. And even worse, if you did change the ad and the buyer doesn't look over the title before signing and paying then you're into a legal battle possibly. Best case scenario is you have to buy your Jeep back and then you're back to square one. It's just waiting game now.

I would never do that I’m just saying that the rebuilt title is an eye roll for my jeep. There are cars with rebuilt titles that basically have no damage and then there are clean titles where they didn’t issue it on the insurance policy stuff and mine is one of those clean rebuilts. Anyway let’s just hope I can sell it. It’s a Tj, I think out of all the cars on the market a TJ with a rebuilt is not a big deal.

Off topic, but why are you selling?
I fell in love with a Mazda Miata and didnt want to deal with the Jeeps leaky-ness or it’s 2.5L, or it’s color. It’s just not the TJ I wanted.

2.5s are a much harder sell. In addition, you're selling it at the worst possible time of the year. Come Summer it will be much more likely to sell.
I hear you but I figured winter would be a perfect time because everybody wants a four-wheel-drive car
