Well, I knew it was only a matter of time, and maybe it's a coincidence that I just installed my winch, but I have to wonder if the added weight helped contribute to my fender flare exploding, or if it was just the steep approach of this little hill that push it back into the fender flare. See the rear of the front passenger side flare. Regardless, I ended up making it up, just had to give a little hell...lol. Does anyone know if they sell single fender flares anywhere?

By the way, I don't know for sure if the are Bushwackers, because I got them used off of Craigslist.

It was a really fun day other than the carnage...this was all towards the back of his porperty in the Hocking Hills of Southeastern Ohio.

I friggin hate Bushwackers. I don't know if they sell individual flares, you may have to call them and ask.

Looks like a fun time otherwise!

I like the looks on my rig, but not sure I want to stick with them. Found single Smittybilt pocket flares at 4 wheels parts, but they're $89/ea. There is a whole set on Craigslist about 1 hour from me for $125. Hmmmm

I don't know how those ones are in terms of durability, but you're not the first person I've heard complain about Bushwackers frequently cracking problems.

Ok, I'm now thinking about moving onto some other type of flares. I really think the stainless mounting screws in the pocket style compliment my wheels well, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to keep going through this.

Next question is, since I have a 4.25" lift, what flares will keep the look in proportion with my 33" tires? It seems like flat flares may make the 33's seem too small. Anyone have pictures of a TJ with 4.25" lift, 33's and flat flares? Any other suggestions?

Thanks Chris! The price is definitely right.

Are there any photos of your rig on here?

I haven't installed them on my rig yet, but it's coming soon!

However, there are photos of how it currently sits in my thread:

Those flares I sent you the link to are pretty well regarded. They look exactly like the stock flares, but they just stick out a bit wider to compensate for the bigger tires and backspacing.

Also, for that price and free shipping, it's really a no-brainer.

All about performance, stuff Bushwacker missed. Clearance is what counts.

Can't buy them anymore but I do love my AEV 6" flares... WITH 33X10.00 ON 4.25" BS

I'll always think a HighLine is the best.
