Starting to think about sliders. Whats the rage for the old LJ monster and why?

I have searched, but I wanna hear opinions anyway....

I have some from A to Z that I have seriously abused for about 12 years now. Very strong, good standoff, highly recommend. I understand Zach, the owner, passed away recently so they are temporarily not filling orders from their storefront. RIP Zach...

If you want the best design and the strongest... https://savvyoffroad.com/product/sav-rkrlj/

They're not the cheapest but they definitely hold up, they sandwich the rocker to reinforce it. I have bent other sliders that also bent the rocker. The two pieces that sandwich the tub are made from 6061 aluminum, the bolt-on (and replaceable) rub rail is heavy steel.

Thanks for the replies, i'm asking before ordering this time! Sometimes waiting an extra paycheck to get the higher end stuff pays off.

Will scope out those Savvy units, if anybody has any better pics and feels like throwing them in here that would be great.

Whatever you decide, pick something that does not use the body mounts for attachment. That means no Poison Spyder.

Just a heads up. Savvy’s webpage says they have (3) LJ sliders in stock right now. Been on back order for quite some time. I ordered mine yesterday.

Don’t see how they mount by looking at the Saavy link that Jerry posted. Do you drill holes in the body to bolt them to? Any pics of them of them mounted or installing instructions?

X2 to this. I wouldn't consider anything else (y)

You'll be drilling lots of holes into the body. It's fine. :)
I'll be drilling even more holes when my Savvys get here. And I'll be dealing with the stock Rubi slider holes as well as the oles from the JCR sliders I'm removing. My rockers are going to look like swiss cheese lol. Smh.

I like my Savvy's a good bit. The genright mini-boatsides are supposedly pretty good too. I just liked the way the Savvy's looked better. Still haven't hit them all that hard, but I have scratched them up pretty good. I had them powdercoated, but that already looks to be failing unfortunately. So I'll have to take them off and give them a good rattle can at some point.

I don’t see how drilling holes and bolting to the body is better or stronger than bolting to the frame at the body mounts like Body Armor sliders?
