Does rear Antirock sway bar need a body lift to be installed?

I have a 03 jeep Rubicon. I am looking to purchase the antirock rear sway bar and came across there install video. The video described a tj with body lift. I have looked and looked for another form or video showing if you could still install the antirock if you have no body lift. I have a 4 inch suspension lift myself. I was just making sure it could be done before ordering. Thanks.

I don't think so, but I don't have one so someone who does will hopefully chime in. However, I think the consensus is that it's only the front Antirock that is worthwhile for a TJ, the factory rear swaybar is fine. You may just need extended swaybar links back there. I have the front Antirock arriving tomorrow and no plans for the rear based on what I've read here. Are you sure you need it?

For the rear I would continue running the OE factory antiswaybar. Except for a heavily modified TJ like Chris described above there's no real benefit over the OE rear antiswaybar that has a similar stiffness.

I have a 9 inch rear

I have a 9 inch rearend with the possibility of a 4 link next year when I bought the jeep there was no brackets for the sway bar so I'm going with the antirock. I just wanted to know if it would work without the body lift.

I can't tell you if it will work without a body lift. But good luck and let us know what you think once it is installed.

Absolutely not. A rear Antirock is only used for custom suspension setups such as a Savvy mid-arm, other 4-link triangulated rears, etc.

The Savvy mid arm and any other triangulated rear works perfectly fine with the factory rear sway bar. You did not need to remove yours

Hmmm, I didn't know that. Makes me wonder why they removed it. They had a reason for it, I just can't recall. Of course why did that shop do anything the way they did

So if you have something that would actually help add if not get off.

And I gave you a simple answer. It is NOT needed, period.

Do you slap your kid when they spill their milk?

Now you've been banned. Take your negative attitude somewhere else.

You are very confused about what is going on.
