Looking for good replacements for sound bar speakers

Do you parts list for separate tweet, front speaker and 6.5" that play together? I am currently not using the space under the rear seat and I do not have a console sub and when I do turning brakes it will likely wipe out some console. Space is premium for me, the only spot I've seen that seems good is underseat?

That's what I mean, we all use our Jeeps differently so an underseat may work best for your application.

What was your question above, the bold letter one?

I meant to say do you have a parts list, like the part numbers of three speakers that work well together? Tweeter, front 5.25 and soundbar 6.5?

I can recommend some but will first need to know your head unit and if you have an amplifier. And also your budget for all of the speakers, $200, $300, $500, $800? Amp, head unit and budget?

Budget for tweeters, front mids, and soundbar speakers is around $500. Amp budget is like $200. I will add the sub later i think and see if this stuff suffices.

Right now i have Sony MEX-BT4100P head unit which i would like to keep and all the speakers are oem and pretty trashed.

Head unit is perfectly fine, I just wanted to know what it had for output, RCAs. I would go one of two ways, for that price and what you are looking to do. Either case you need an amplifier wiring kit ($25), and you will need to mount the tweeters on the a-pillar with supplied mounting gear, or you can buy dash pods off Ebay for like $30-$40. As well as some mounting materials for the amplifier, nothing to expensive, like $10-$15 of materials.

First Option

Helix P52C 5.25" set ($300): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WJDLDNO/?tag=wranglerorg-20

Helix P206 6.5" ($100): http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5337789113&icep_item=283429351933

AMP: Two choices:

Helix MA40FX ($200): https://audiointensity.com/collecti...ts/helix-match-ma40fx-4-3-2-channel-amplifier

Or

Kenwood KAC-M3004 ($200): https://www.woofersetc.com/c-3-ampl...-compact-car-marine-motorcycle-amplifier.html

Second Option

BLAM Audio has some real good looking gear. I reached our to a distributer to see what prices would be for this. My price guesses are in there, just my guesses.

BLAM 130RS 5.25" set ($300): https://www.blam-audio.com/en/130rs/

BLAM 165RC 6.5" ($150): https://www.blam-audio.com/en/165rc/

AMP

Did you put BLAMs in yours? Speakers are on my list....

I have front and rear BLAMs waiting to be installed, as well as custom tweeter pods with BLAMs as well for the a-pillars.

I've got an Audiotec Fischer V EIGHT DSP MK2 amp that will be powering them. This setup should be pretty epic, it's cost me over 2k!

Don't forget about those Micro Precision tweeters either.

@LJGreg - looks like we have a new member of the AF DSP. Killer system here.

Oh, that's right! Micro Precision tweeters! For some reason I thought the tweeters were BLAM.

I'm very much looking forward to this system. I'm a huge audiophile, and while the TJ is probably not the best platform for an amazing sound system, I won't let that discourage me.

I was incredibly happy with the audio on my last TJ, so I have a feeling this is going to blow my mind!

Those guys are no joke with audio. Quickly glance through their FB page. The system you have sounds insane, and will be fun to build in the TJ. As an audiophile you can always bring this equipment to your next vehicle so save your stock stuff in case you sell this new TJ to @toximus

Judging by our relative locations and your intended set up I should be able to hear it when you fire it up for the first time.

I'm not in the 2K range for sure. I'm going a little less over the top. The BLAM speakers are intriguing but I'm having a hard time finding any reliable comparisons to others in that price range.

I'm still going through the basics with my 6 week old "new TJ"..... maintenance, fluids etc.

I need shocks and I've got to pull the wheels and check the brakes. Braking is fine but I've got a killer squeak on the right rear. Got a noticeable squeak when I turn to the right from the left front wheel as well. Gotta chase all those things down and see what I got left for amps/speakers.

I am interested to see how you wire up and mount the tweeters on the A pillars. Having had the covers off I'm not seeing an option to mount anything there without drilling.

Chris' amp has a sick built-in DSP, so it's much more than just an amp, but you can build a quality system for less, and you can always build in stages.

To get those tweeter pods on all you need is a small hole in the plastic a-pillar trim cover to route the wires through. These are mine, but only for another week until my new ones arrive. There's a nut on the inside of the trim to secure it. Another option is dash pods. See link below, they are less expensive, and play around in their site.

See @skrelnik's post as he talks about the tweeters.

Once I get all the parts and install it, you're welcome to swing by and check it out. Like I said, I'm guessing it's going to be some pretty epic sound to say the least. It cost a fortune, but I'm so big on good music that I wanted a sound system that would really put out some good sound.

Hmm... that trim doesn't seem thick enough to hold alone with the vibrations Jeeps typically have. I had it off when I ran the cable for the microphone for my new Head Unit and I don't remember it being that sturdy. I'll have to look at it again.

In looking at the website I see lots of options. Thanks!

I can assure you they work perfectly with no shake or rattling or anything negative. Mine have been on for two years with no issues, July 2018 is when they were installed.

The pods are specifically made for the tweeter you buy, so that also plays a role in how much selection you see on their site. This is higher quality German stuff and not cheaper Chinese stuff for half the price...the Chinese stuff's fitment will not be as snug as these, nor will the overall quality like the adjustable ball joints, but you can save a couple bucks.

More pics of what you are concerned about.

Who can I buy the blam stuff through? I trust you and Chris's opinions if you guys say this is the right setup I'll put in the order. I Love making music and listening to music and everything bluegrass so definitely want something that will let that fiddle saw and banjo rang.

A bluegrass fan, eh? Me too! I also play the banjo and guitar. Blues is my other staple too.

Don Amann at Unexpected Creations is who built my system for me. @skrelnik put me in touch with him.

This guy is no joke. You should see what he did for me. He even built the wiring harnesses for me, wrapped them, and made it so I barely have to do any work at all when installing the system.

It’s costly, but you’re paying for someone who truly knows what they are doing here.

Are you going to do a write up? Can you share any pics? Is he going to do a remote tune of the DSP?

I will, yes. The speakers and everything is on the way, so they should be here next week. Don sent them out on Tuesday.

I am going to have him remotely tune the DSP, yes. (y)

Don is tuning his amp this weekend. @Chris did you buy a laptop yet?

The three of us each have different amps which is kind of cool, but we really can't share our files because of that, but we can still speak about timing and delays and what we are using. You can convert the tuning filing to a PDF extension, email, then save as the .aspx extension. I did that when I was on the BMW forums, so I assume we still can do that.

I forget, what speakers are you running, how are using the 6 channels in your amp?
