Quick question. I wanted to warn forum members about a Jeep parts retailer that I have been dealing with and let them know my experience with this company so nobody else has the same issues and run around. Is there a place to post this? This company lied to me numerous times over a month period, accused me of lying about an email they sent me and when I tried to cancel the order with them they sent an email saying I accepted the new shipping date. I don’t want others to have to go through what I just went through. Thanks

What retailer is this?

I think most of the time we’ll just start a thread titled “_____ is not a nice company” or something to the effect and then complain about it for a few days, leaving a wake for others to read.
Though I like the idea of compiling this onto one thread, maybe something where you could up and down Vote company’s? That would be interesting.

any way, as Chris said, who?

So here’s what happened. I was looking for an flowmaster exhaust for a 2005 tj that we purchased for my son. I called Morris 4x4 and they confirmed on the phone they had it in stock. Placed the order on the phone with them on 5/28. Email said it would be shipped on 6/4. On 6/2 I get an email that says shipping is delayed. Called and told it would be shipped 6/10 also said email had a link that I was suppose to go to to confirm shipping delay. Rechecked email and no link. Told guy on phone no link and was told it’s on his end so I was lying. Offered to screen shot email to prove it and he said no. Didn’t get anything on 6/10 about it being shipped. Called late in the day and told it would be shipped 6/11. Each time they claimed they had talked to someone at holley and was confirmed shipping would happen. Called 6/11 to be sure it was shipped and George at Morris said he talked to someone at Holley. According to George, the woman at Holley said based on when I placed the order it was going to be shipped out but she would check with the “floor” to find out when and get back to him. Told he would check back with me and let me know what was happening. 6/17 called again since no one contacted me by phone or email. Told they would look into it and call me back. Also told George I called. 6/19 called again and now it won’t be shipped till 7/31. Cancelled the order and then received and email saying I accepted the new shipping date. Called back 2 more times in order to actually get it cancelled. And found out that they won’t refund my money until Holley/flowmaster accepts the cancellation. So in the end they took my money on 5/29, told me they had it in stock, lied to me multiple times, called me a liar (offered proof that I wasn’t), never returned calls, didn’t cancel order when they said they did and are telling me I can’t have my money back until another company tells them I can (if they accept the cancellation). I usually deal with extreme terrain and quadratec and never had a problem. Guess I should have stayed with them. I understand everything is backed up because of COVID but if they had been honest in the beginning I would have ordered a different exhaust.

There is a lot of this going around. My recent and ongoing issues with Bestop are getting to the point of me getting really pissed off.

I ordered a windshield rail from them through Amazon 3 weeks ago. It came in a trashed box with no mounting hardware. After calling and emailing them nearly a dozen times combined I decided to just put my phone on speaker and wait it out. About 40 minutes later I got a sales rep. He ordered the parts for me and indicated it would be 2-3 business days for me to get them. He even sent me a new order number. That was 15 days ago. Another round of being put on hold today for nearly 30 minutes ended with "we have no record of that order".... I told them I wanted to return the top and .... no joke.... they told me I could only do it if I had all the parts and the original packaging.

Mr Bills, took your advice and called credit card company. Explained the situation and they decided to start the dispute today. Said since they have had my money for 21 days and haven’t attempted to ship anything and I received nothing, this was the fastest and easiest way. They now have to prove it was shipped. We all know that won’t happen! Thanks for the advice.

Morris is already on the shit list here.

The guys who run that company are idiots who don’t deserve any business. Far better companies out there to do business with.

This has nothing to do with COVID, Morris was like this long before COVID.

Stay away from Morris, Quadratec, and Extreme Terrain. Use Amazon Prime and Northridge.

Is 21 days the magic number for the credit card company to get involved. I’m having a similar experience with another vendor. Charges my card on 6/4. Did not respond to 2 separate emails. No shipping info yet.

There is no magic number. I’ve had the credit card company get involved in a week and in months.

It’s up to the cc company. I have capital one. It was their decision on when and how to file a dispute based on what was going on. It’s best to call your cc and ask.

Haven’t had any issues with quadratec but then again they are close to us so I normally get things within 2 days because of proximity. Haven’t heard of northridge. Husband may have. I’ll check them out. Thanks.

Interesting. My credit union has no time frame to my knowledge. Not that they’ve ever told me at least.
