What are your favorite interior upgrades / mods?

New seats are next on the list for the interior, but I like my custom interior I did myself with Alcantara suede and billet aluminum accoutrements a lot. The seats will be black with Alcantara suede red inserts.
There's no reason why your interior has to look cheap and boring.

I would remove that emblem from your passenger side airbag cover.

If someone is riding shotgun and the airbag deploys, that emblem is going to fly off with some force right at their face.

I love my in the mirror back up camera for function with my big spare .

I love my heated seats .

I love my Bartacts .

My Milwaukee head light mounted to the mid roll cage is a tremendous interior light and back up for a trail emergency.

No it won't. The airbag doesn't deploy like that.

It doesn't?

How does it deploy?
That panel has a tab that slips down behind the grab bar only held in place with pressure and slips loose there when employed, the panel doesn't split like it does on most dashes. Plus, the emblem and trim is bolted on from behind.

It looks l learned something new today, because you are correct. Now I can find a cool CJ-style JEEP emblem to stick to my othewise boring airbag cover. Thanks! (y)

I always thought the cover would split open somehow, and break apart when the airbag deploys. From what I now understand, the cover comes loose from the bottom and sides and hinges at the top, allowing the airbag to deploy.

Yes, this is how it deploys.
I'd still make sure anything on the panel is bolted on from behind and not just glued on though.

It deploys like the photo I included in the previous post. That panel mentioned is bolted on from top and slips lose from the bottom. I'd certainly make sure anything attached is somewhat permanent and will stay attached to the panel if deployed.

No doubt the door works the same. It appears in the photo from the previous forum photo link that the owner simply pulled the bag down below the dash handle.

So far I've upgraded the stock stereo to a double din Alpine unit and replaced the speakers throughout.

I've got a number of things on my list for this "winter" (relative term as I live in the Phoenix area).
New carpet and sound deadening.
upgrade all interior lights to LED's (exteriors as well)
back up camera install
Rear power outlet/inverter.

My seats are in very good shape but I do like some of the aftermarket ones out there. Maybe next year on those.

So many people mentioned the Daystar dash tray that I bought one. Not only does it hold all my stuff, but when my brand new windshield failed in a rainstorm, it caught most of the water and saved my interior. Thanks, Daystar!

That was one of the very first things I bought for my Jeep - its the biggest no brainer in the history of mankind!

I had a windshield leak...I used some of the flowable silicone for it...worked great..sold at O'Reillys and others.

I will definitely keep that in mind in case this one fails, too. (The owner of company that installed the leaky windshield came back and installed a brand new one, so I'm hoping that won't happen. 🤞🏽)

Two of my favorite interior mods: Double DIN head unit topped with a Lowrance HDS7 GPS (I’ve had a couple folks here in TN ask me why I had a fish finder in the Jeep).

And this one (it is technically an interior mod...):

Right now I'm running the new lighted cup holders from Walmart... You can actually see where to put your drink at night.. they're just little rechargeable inserts.. they change color or you can set them on whatever color you want.

I actually like them 😂
