I’m not talking about just seeing the movies. I’m talking about understanding canon like it’s scripture and dabbling in the extended universe as well (which was canon before Disney came along).

The newest episode of Mandalorian made me yell in excitement more than once. I just wondered if there was anyone else here that has watched Clone Wars, Rebels, played the games (including the Lego saga 😉) etc?

In a time long long ago, at a job far far away, I worked at the Opus Archives; home of Joseph Campbells work. If that's what you're talking about as far as Star Wars lore.....

I've always been a classic (pre Abrams) Star Trek fan, actually. Much of the scripts were also Campbell archetypes. I actually got the opportunity to chat with Joe Menosky (writter of a lot of STNG, DS9, and Voyager episodes) on numerous occasions as he lectured on site.

Loved all the movies, did clone wars, seen about half of mandalorian (don’t have tv, so it’s hard to get) and I can’t get enough.

In fact, all space travel stuff. Star Trek, enterprise, firefly, battlestar galactica, etc. Can’t think of them all right now.

Drives my friends nuts! 🤪

Same here actually. Halo is also a lot of fun because you get a lot of fleet engagement with it.
Yeah, Mandalorian is awesome. And I don't care what Disney says, Heir to the Empire books are canon.
That’s where I’m really upset is how the changed everything after ROTJ. They completely ruined Luke, Han, and Leia in the newer movies, we lost characters like Wedge and Lando, and we never got to see the New Republic Defense Fleet in action with the imperial remnants and warlords in the outer rim. I loved Star Wars for the fleet battles and the one in TROS was an absolute joke.

Rogue One was an absolute work of art in terms of showing what the alliance was actually capable of.

Been following some of the canon but definitely not an expert. I

was really impressed with where the last episode of the Mandalorian is going.

Ran screaming from the Star Wars universe upon the appearance of Jar-Jar Binks! Haven't looked back since...
There was a theory that Jar-Jar was a Sith Lord in disguise since he basically made all of the decisions that destabilized the Republic. That’s something I wish writers had run with.

I lost my shit when she mentioned Grand Admiral Thrawn. Dude is an absolute BAMF and both canon and legends.

Yeah, I really liked Rogue One. I even kinda enjoyed Solo. I mean, it wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be anyway.

You mentioned video games, have you played Fallen Order? The game itself is frustrating at times, and was a bit buggy for me, but the story is excellent.

Solo was very good. It just got boycotted for how bad the Last Jedi was.

And no I haven’t because I can’t justify the price just for just a campaign. I’ll probably go on YouTube and watch someone play through it. I do like flight sim games though so I might pick up Squadrons.

I'm a massive fan of the EU. It was a HUUUUUUGE part of my adolescence, which is why I was so pissed when Disney deep-sixed the EU as non-canon anymore. SO many great stories that they could have utilized. :(

As much as I'm loving The Mandalorian (it's the Star Wars I didn't know I needed), I've not seen either Rebels or Clone Wars (I'm not a Clone Wars time-period fan), so the whole "The Jedi" episode excitement was lost on me (though I was still super intrigued and know of Thrawn from the EU) despite it being an excellent episode on it's own.

Not totally true, in the novel that's supposed to take place after TFA, Wedge (my absolute favorite Star Wars character, bar-none) is still a canon character. I also believe he showed up in the final battle at Exogol.

Read all the EU books and love the clone war series.. rebels was surprisingly good.
Latest star wars mivies sucked.

Rogue one is best of them all.

Mandalorian kinda bores me tho... but so far they seem to be true to lore. Credit goes to dave filoni.

Hope i get hooked with the upcoming kenobi series

Yes I didn't mean gone as in dead. I just meant his military career in the New Republic. He and many others were very distinguished leaders for many years and Disney tossed all of that to the wayside.

Clone Wars definitely had a slow start but man did it take off. I think Mandalorian is in the same boat. They're building on to something much larger, especially after the last episode. We might see Thrawn and even Ezra return.
