The unfortunate TJ of the day thread

Maybe Matchbox will buy it?

Meanwhile, our forum members DO learn some things from such "fun poking" such as, just going with what is considered "cool" by the masses is not necessarily going to add true value to your ride

Spot on, watching the camel trophy series back in the day. I figured the hood mounted jack was logical.
Because of this forum made me rethink about its use and the higher likelihood of creating a projectile in a rear end collision then the space savings.

I still don’t own a hi-lift jack. But that didn’t stop the learning.

I put the chances of that thing having an actual blower, or even having the air intake connected to that hood scoop, at about 0.0002%

EDIT: Wow...to get the full effect, you have to zoom in your browser and look at the front end. Looks like it has a bull nose-ring and a black woman inside the engine compartment who is trying to escape through the passenger turn signal!

2 things

1st: can he even open the back tailgate without taking h the tire off? Looks to me like the latch it behind or inside of the wheel.

2: you’ll notice that the hood mount lightbar is not on. And while I can live with an excessive amount of forward light, if you can’t be bothered to actually wire the bar, that’s just sad.

2B: actually, after seeing some of those wiring jobs, maybe it’s better that he didint do that. Make the removal job easier for whoever gets that poor Jeep next. 1/2 the time they botch up the factory wiring for no reason.

you laugh, but My jeep. has been waaay more planted at hwy speed after I installed the winch. she now stays in the lane that I choose, not the one on either side.
There it is! Undeniable proof that a winch is an essential and necessary part of any TJ! Damnit, it's a safety concern! 🤨

I'm a proud hi-lift owner. I've used it twice. Once to re-level my shed, another time to help my neighbor get out of a predicament where he had is bimmer up on on 3 jackstands with a blown out floor jack substituting as a fourth. Had to get creative on that one.
