Hey all, first time posting. As the thread says, my bump stocks are rubbing on my springs. I took my jeep wheeling last weekend in the snow. There were a couple of times I hit some holes that were iced over and broke through and came down pretty rough. Idk if this could have caused the bump stocks to bend a little? I tried attaching pictures but for some reason it says the file is too large.

sounds like your spring perches are out of alignment, is your pinion at a rather extreme angle?

I just got everything aligned on Saturday unless that doesn't effect pinion angle. Its on the passenger side and the driver side is doing it as well. Just not as bad as the passenger side.

they arent going to adjust spring perches with an allignment, it is caused by having your pinion angle rotated too far upwards, do you have a SYE/Tummy tuck? pics will help too

Did not mean to hijack but i noticed my bump stock rubber is completely broken and the left over broken piece is idling in spring cage.
How bad is it for suspension? Could it damage something big?

I have a 4 inch lift with 35s and they are the front springs and both driver and passenger side bump stops are hitting the front of the coil.

My first thought is you still have stock control arms and the axle is pulled back due to the lift.

That would effect the springs in the front? I'm not doubting you I just honestly don't know. I can order some new control arms ASAP
Def!
As you lift or articulate, the front axle swings under the truck.
The spring is flexable and moves the bump stop not so much.

get adjustables

It is common. The immediate fix is to do what boogieman shows above. Then you may have some work to do in order to properly support 35" tires.

Okay one more thing, I'm going to 33s in about a month or two. Would it be wise to still upgrade to adjustable control arms also, invest in a SYE?
Absolutely! On the arms.
Your axles are pulled back toward th center of the truck. Moving them back out into position will give you more clearance for the 33’s. Especially at the front lower edge of the rear wheel arch.
As far as the SYE, tire size doesn’t affect it directly....but the axle shift and ability to rotate your pinion is worthwhile.

This is the issue I'm having. My rear bump stops pop out often due to the extreme pinion angle. Any remedies aside from relocating the spring perch?

Awesome. Just making sure. Thanks for all the insight- will be ordering some this week. Rough country adjustable control arms are relatively affordable
