What did you do to your TJ today?

Every time I do a Jeep, they look like this. I even clean and re-paint, when needed, after wheeling. I don't know any other way! o_O
Yours is so pristine!
And here I was, all proud of mine for being rust free. 😂
It's rust free, but the red Arizona dust has discolored it a little underneath and I'm not sure how to remove it. I washed most of it off but it's not perfect.

During a recent trip to visit Viking Jeeper there were strong winds while crossing Doctors Lake which caused my hood to lift slightly causing a hopping effect.
Today I replaced the factory rubber hood restraining straps with the Daystar poly hood restraining straps.

I received some of my parts from GenRight. Got the windshield frame armor, highline inner fenders and inner fender mounting brackets, the led turn signals, the rear Aluminum blank corners, the corner backing plates, and the aluminum rear insert plate. Still waiting on the rear aluminum flares and the front High line fenders.

How do you like that UCF rear bumper? Thinking about picking one up for my TJ to ditch the stock bumper and trailer hitch combo that bottom out on rocks all the time.
I've had the now discontinued tire carrier version on my LJ for 7+ years and have zero complaints. I wouldn't mind if the bumper tucked in a little tighter to the frame, but the strength, weight, function and style are exactly what I like.

Here are a few pics of the version installed on my TJ.

Looks well built. The combo of steel frame and aluminum skin seems like a solid design - I'd like to be able to pull a small trailer with my atv, but also keep weight down. And as far as departure angle, more is better, but I'm not ready to go to a cross member cap.

Were you able to get spray paint to stick, or did you have it powder coated?

The bumper would be a very good choice, if you need to pull a small trailer. I have a 5x10 trailer I used to pull frequently with mine. As for the paint, I've had really good luck with paint on aluminum. The trick is to clean it thoroughly, scuff with a scotch brite pad, apply self etching primer, then apply the paint. I've had no peeling or flaking of paint in 7+ years on the rear bumper on my LJ.

Finished the RMS install! Not the biggest fan of it but I saved money so that's cool. Found out my leak is coming out of the valve cover gasket too so guess that's up next!
Good feeling when you can do it yourself and save money for other stuff! (y)

Does that bumper have attachment points for safety chains? Cops around here are sticklers.
