The brackets are block specific. One of my fellow club members has a set as well but I believe for a newer block.

I can wait. I put the stock one in for now. They took 10 years to break from when I put in the engine. I think they'll hold off for 5 weeks.
Cussed it for the whore that it is. Every time I get 1 problem sorted out, another pops up. Today’s issue is some type of electrical problem…the hate is growing inside me!!

I got the Tranmission, transfer case and oil change done yesterday. Today i got the coolant power steering and break fluid changed. The best part was the test drive with everything working and no leaks. Starting on the buff and shine inside and out Including the engine bay. It’s starting out to be a great 4th of July holiday project.
We restored the faded gray looking hardtop back to black and went over the rest of plastic as well. Also added some freon to the ac.
Put on a set of wider fender flares… now maybe I can keep the mud on the outside!

While we’re on the subject, the term, “near miss” was coined by the airline industry many years ago & is not accurate. A near miss is actually a near hit. Now an actual collision … THAT’S a near miss.
