What did you do to your TJ today?

I wish my life was that simple.(y)
Well, my M3 is at the shop to get a quote on getting it fixed and I know that's going to be an ugly, ugly bill. Lots of deferred maint and QOL things to do with that.

And I'm getting my gallbladder out on Monday, so the OPDA is the simplest bit at the moment. lol

Today I woke extra early and completed the Antirock sway bar installed before 8am.

Nice! We talked about specific link lengths in our PMs but I left out that whatever length you came up with after measuring the stock links, the arm does need to be slightly above horizontal. I'd extend the links enough to do that. Some say 15 degrees above horizontal which is about right, though it doesn't have to be precisely 15 degrees. Enough above horizontal so the link/arm can't flip forward when the front axle is fully drooped.

Stop changing your great avatar pics. I get shit for doing it. ;)
p.s. I guess mine aren't "user friendly".
Maybe it's just me but the thing for me about avatar pics is thats how I mostly identify the poster. I get used to a persons av pic and I associate it with them, they change it and...."who TF is that?" 🤷‍♂️

I am the same way

Forget the pictures... Remember when Joe Biden came out of the woodwork?!

Can't trust anyone..

If that new spring started out with all the coils touching, like the old one is in that picture, or even if the coils started out a lot closer together it's probably pulling too much when in that position. You really only want the extra strength to do what needs done and then do as little as possible when it's not needed.

I'm only mentioning that because that picture reminds me of similar things done to carburetors many years ago that resulted in the throttle shaft wearing the hole in the carburetor body that it passed through causing a vacuum leak, eventually to the point of barely running.

I'm not saying "Don't add a spring", just don't over do it.
Yes they were touching to begin with. The pack I bought came with a few different springs so I might try the other ones if this one could cause issues

When measuring 3° on the AR arm closest to the bumper, at full droop, front left wheel off the ground, left frame on hydraulic jack, I need to extend the link to 30”…. That definitely doesn’t seem right, is it?

Well got mine back from the paint shop. Snapped these 2 before I got home. Soon as I pulled into the shop, it started raining. Gonna hang the half door and adjust them tomorrow and put the Trek Top back on tomorrow (just the safari part right now) then I will clean up the flares and get better pictures.

No, the arm is only just above level when the axle is not drooped. In its normal resting position with the tires fully on the ground.

I wish my paint looked that good. Including and especially my doors. Once you paint the flares and bumper your gonna have to go hang out at the mall. Fancy. ;)

Seriously looks great.

Thanks I gotta clean the flares, and clean the interior really good. I have got to get all the sanding dust out of it.

I cut the wrong wire and severed a shielded video cable for the camera install. The repair seems virtually impossible - it’s a super tiny cable. So I ordered another camera and have to wait for it to arrive. I’m usually very careful and was quite disappointed with myself.
