I have a gent that wants the auto, he has the manual. Your out of pocket will be 750. You drop it off and pick it up, we take care of the rest and keep your parts. We keep your parts, you get our parts. The only additional on top of the 750 will be in the event you have some part that is defective and needs replacement or you have some way out of the ordinary mod done that complicates a normal R and R. Examples would be the RE Long Arm kit or any of that type that make dropping the belly skid more difficult or a cage that traps the dash. Must be Rubi from the factory or a complete conversion with OE parts.

The other issue is a short time frame. This needs to happen in 2-3 weeks from now.

Well, I'm kinda in the same boat.
I have a manual and want the auto, too.
However, I did end up buying a low mileage, fresh rebuilt 42RLE and 160K mile 4.0 from a wrecked 03 wrangler.
Same year as mine.
I am currently thinking like @Chris that I want to stroke the 4.0.
I'm a slow mover and like to take my time and think thru the ramifications. Starting to dig thru the stroker threads now.

Chassis, dash harness, and PCM are different.
So I'm fairly certain I have everything except the rubicon specific harness'.
I knew I would have to source a new pump, but missed the rubicon harness'.
I'm pretty certain that's all I need.

Wow that's awesome, I didn't realize you snaggled a donor!
Found it on Seattle CL.
Long story, but fun.
I called and asked about the trans. Guy wanted 2K and was adement about that. With every conversion part needed except pcm for Rubicon and a few specific harnesses. Playing hardball i just passed, without even making an offer, even though I think it was still a deal at 2K.
I forgot about it, and about a week later the guy called me back. "Im open to offers on that tranny if your still interested".
I passed again.
Three day later I called him back, on Thursday, and offered him $1350.00.
He laughed.
Friday night I received another call from him, accepting my offer.
😂
I offered him an extra $50.00 if he would hold it till Monday..
😂
He did, I gave him $1400.00 for the 160 k running 4.0 and the new trans, with almost every conversion part, and a ton of extra stuff ill probably not use.
Just trying to convince myself its ok to drop 5-6K (or so) building up a striker.
I would be happy to up the HP game by 50%.
