Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

DAMN FedEx is REALLY trying my patience I'm here to tell you. Now the package is delayed another day and it sat in Chicago for 2 days and has only made to Cicero, IL so far. And it ain't like IL is the size of TX or anything....

I'd call them to ask WTF but I'm worried I'd just spike my blood pressure and nothing else. I've gone through this with UPS before and all they do is say SORRY. Never offered to refund monies or anything so what's the point. It's just one of those things you can't change right?

They don’t seem to be very good at geography

FedEx is absolutely terrible lately. I don't think I've had an order arrive when they say it's going to since covid hit.

Yes and what sucks is they use to be better than UPS at least around here. Now I HATE to have stuff come thru them.

Well another night of sleeping like SHIT so I haven't gotten anything done yet today. I need to run into town and drop off a bunch of stuff to be returned and pickup some stuff at the grocery store. So don't see me getting much done today.

Was going thru some old pictures and found this one of my TJ with me and my daughter in it.

Not often I've used a chainsaw to clear a snowbank. The rule up here in the PNW during the Trail Jamboree is that if you hit snow on the trail you have to turn around unless it's removed. So we used chainsaws and shovels and cut the drift back enough to get rig thru.

At least @Wildman has a pile. Mine are spread out all over the house.
I'm in a similar boat. I have two 90"W x 90"H x 24"D shelves in the garage, along with parts mounted to the walls, a crate engine on the floor, and more stored in the basement. I'm trying to do better though! ;)

His picture really just reminds me I have a serious problem! o_O

I have a rig built with mostly free Jeep parts from the forum guys. I'm thinking of naming it

"THE OFFICIAL WRANGLER TJ FORUM BUILD"

Approval pending decision of the official committee led by President @AndyG

When my wife gives me a hard time about my parts collection, I'm showing her this! ;)

Just don't tell her I'm single. And I stored parts in my house too. Just finally moved them out to the garage last weekend.

OK I searched everywhere and can't find the other spindle nut kit 😤 so I'm ordering another one.
And we all know that once I do that I'll find it...

I’m talking to our accounting department, will get back to you- this one is going to have to go through the right channels. Sorry, Covid has changed everything.

I'd pinched the edge of the o-ring and it had a small bump in it so I installed a new o-ring and reassembled it then filled it back up with air to 40 PSI. I'll check it later today. I've had good luck with these not leaking so hopefully that was what it was.

Went back and looked at my Amazon purchases and YEP I'd bought two of those Stage 8 spindle nut kits but I'll be damned if I know where the other one is at right now. So I can either search again or just order another one and like I said I'm sure once I do I'll find the other one.

Can you tell me the process for putting bead lock rings on and the proper torque-

I have two removed mine to get tires put on by some places and put them back on

The simple answer is it depends on the rim & tire. What brand beadlock are they? And some tires have a thinker bead that others so that can change how you mount them.

Hope this helps a little. The ones I'm doing right now are dual beadlock rims which is a totally different animal.

My UCF skids have had a heck of a journey and are now in Kalispell, MT.

Now I'd ordered the skid plate braces from Barnes 4WD and somehow they could make it here from NC. Granted it wasn't as heavy of a package but WTF?

We're a lot more interested in your building updates than shipping updates!
