This was my first Jeep, a '42 MB. It was used for hauling logs out of a swamp. Dad and I used it a couple of times in the bush and it still worked well. I made the mistake of disassembling it to restore ,but found it was beyond that. Sold it for parts.
(Posted on my newbe page but thought it was appropriate here too).

Couple pics I've taken around town over the years.

I've shown this one before. It was in a car show in my town. Looked around for the owner, but could not find him (or her)

An old J-10 I saw at our local HF. I did see this owner, but he wasn't interested in talking...I LOVED the skinny MT's on original wheels. It was in pretty good shape too, not much rust. I'd peg it as an early 80s model. No Gladiator grill.

This is a Buddy's J-20. He bought it out of Georgia so its pretty rust free. There is a little bit in the box. It Has a 360, Dana 60 Rear, Dana 44 front and a 4 speed. It obviously needs wheels more fitting to the vintage of the vehicle. I'm working REALLY hard on my wife to let me buy it and throw a modern powertrain in it. With Used car prices right now, I could probably get 30K + for my Colorado, which would be more than enough to get this up to snuff and still net me some cash in the bank.

Just took this pic this morning. He is a Korean War Vet. His son found this Jeep and bought it for him for his birthday. This Jeep went to Korea and made it back. This guy goes to all the local coffee and cars and shows. He has not stopped smiling since he got it.
