What did you do to your TJ today?

That may be as far as you can get with those tires. You just need some bigger all weather radials because everyone should know that SIZE MATTERS.
On a more serious note, the tires are the main reason I haven't done much wheeling with this thing as yet. I need some M/Ts - I do NOT like getting stuck.

Tightened a bolt... ;)

Going back to the steering box skid - the third bolt that you have to drill a hole for: Its kinda hard to tighten it up yet have the skid in the perfectly correct position for the other two. So - I removed most of the bolts holding the bumper on, and hinged it outward. Put the appropriate sized wrench (15mm) on the nut on the inside of the bumper, closed the bumper back up, and re-installed the other two bolts. There, now the skid is in position. Tightened the 3rd bolt, letting the wrench inside the bumper rotate to the forward side and hold the damn nut. Remove the other two, hinge the bumper back open, remove the wrench from the inside, then re-assemble the whole mess.

I hadn't yet figured it out yesterday so the bolt was snug but not tite, but it came to me last nite how to do it. Thank you guardian angel!

I found a color matched set of factory flares for about $50 to fix ours.
Yea, it’s small enough that I’m going to do a little research and tackle it myself. It’s been there for 6 years, but it’s time to try and fix it right. They are the factory Sahara flares and are perfect aside from that spot

Took it off Facebook Marketplace, sat down and figured up what I actually have in it $$ wise. I was gonna sell it and put the money towards a Rubicon, but when I figured it up I can build what I want and how I want it and still won't be upside down in it.

The new name will be Decepticon !!!!!
I will be ordering the decals soon.

Finished up a busy weekend working on the TJ. After replacing nutserts, my OCD took over and decided to deep clean the undercarriage of the Jeep. Not fun doing this without a lift. Then sprayed it down with Surface Shield (fluid film equivalent). After a cleaning like this, makes it hard to take it offroad again.

Tom Woods driveshaft finally arrived and threw that on.

After all that, I figured I’d give it a shot replacing my front upper control arms. I’ve replaced the rest but I previously failed removing the front uppers due to that stupid factory bolt head on the axle side and haven’t tried again since (2 years ago). Well maybe it took 2 years to figure it out. Got them out and replaced with a new factory set I had sitting. Old arm bushings were actually still in good shape. I think I’ve officially replaced every wear item under the Jeep now since owning it.

My take off stock parts pile continues to grow.

Stupid bolt that had me stumped. But not today.

After rolling around under the Jeep for the past 3 days, I don’t want to find myself back under there for quite awhile.
