Chasing my tail another smog test thread

This is weird… it started (maybe) having my battery draining if the Jeep sat for a few days odyssey agm 2 years old I kind of think rough roads might have been its demise? It relates because my smog test is due and the battery issue has my emissions all pending, so I run the cycle and see a...

If you enjoy stories like Gold Rush

This is a true life story that takes place in the 1930‘s about a gold miner and his crew in the Sierra Nevada mountains posted on a prospecting forum, it is being transcribed from the minors own written journal by a modern day prospector who acquired the journal from a mining company after he...

    Reoccurring P0306 on 2006 TJ 4.0 stroker

Whatever of all the things done to track down my p0306 and other occasional DTC’s I’m now 500 miles check engine light free. Taking a guess I’d say the main contributor to making things right was slightly smaller oversized injectors and the mild tune on the PCM, going back to my old stock...

    Yet another misfire

I had a couple friends used JB Weld to fix a hole in the oil pan of an old commercial fishing boat they had harbored in Half Moon Bay, just south of San Francisco. This was 40years ago at least and for whatever reason this seemed the best solution to them anyway. They fished that boat for...

I think the OPDA sensor sold by NAPA has worked, this is from another thread. “Also, if your camshaft position sensor is going bad you can use the Napa Echelon series sensor to replace it without any issues (based on others' opinions here and my own experience). I pulled my OEM CPS when...

    Yet another misfire

Something else you might try if you have not is a speed-o-healer, I was having some computer issues I think because of the speed rpm difference with the lower 5.13 gears my engine was shutting down and throwing codes pushing it at wot and after installing the corrector I did not have that issue...

    Yet another misfire

I think a little bit of both is true rereading your question, firing order is the first list and the second is the plugs that share coils so both are true and if you are having difficulty with 6 and occasionally 5 that could point to the connection being dirty and having some corrosion. The coil...

    Yet another misfire

I’d been experiencing a P0306 that at the moment has not returned, but I don’t think I can conclude any one thing I’ve done has fixed it unless my issue was related to something like a poor connection to something somewhere that was inadvertently improved by just my messing with everything...

    Reoccurring P0306 on 2006 TJ 4.0 stroker

Thanks a lot for the help, I don’t know I can’t really find anything wrong and it is running good? I drove it probably 40 miles today around town and freeway with no check engine light, I haven’t checked to see if anything’s pending yet. I got on it and getting on the freeway opened it up WOT...

    Reoccurring P0306 on 2006 TJ 4.0 stroker

Now after looking at the live o2 data I’m not sure the bank 2/2 sensor looks all that different from bank one, there is a spike in the chart at idle I’m not really sure what caused it but it looks equal on both banks?

    Reoccurring P0306 on 2006 TJ 4.0 stroker

The fuel trim is off I think because the bank2/1 sensor is hanging outside the exhaust by its wiring reading fresh air? So I ran some tests these first 3 screens are at 40 mph up a slight grade with Cruze in control This next screen after at idle These next screen is an overlay bank 1 and 2...
