The 97 Sport I daily drive is my first Jeep. 4.0, auto, 4" Pro Comp lift, 33x12.5x15 KO2s. I've owned it for 4 years. It has about 136K miles, is rustfree and rock solid reliable. It needs to be painted as 97% of the clearcoat is off the hood but I love it anyway.

No, that's not how the prop valve works. It's job is to apply a percentage of the braking force to the rear brakes. If the braking system is compromised by low to no fluid it does not work effectively or perhaps at all as you discovered.

This is a simplistic reply.....brakes require hydraulic pressure to work and the hole in your front brake hose didn't allow that pressure to build.

Eh, whatever suits you. My solution is simple, it works and the belts are waiting if I need to put the seat back in.

No. About 3 years ago I swapped the stock headlamps for ARB H4 housings and Piaa Extreme White bulbs rated at 65 watts. Also replaced the stock foglights with Piaa 540 amber series lamps. From every thing I read these changes didn't require any additional relays or harnesses. I did trim back...

No additional lights nor trailer towing. Possibly a moisture issue from a recent pop up rain shower.

Replaced the burned/partially melted headlight switch connector and the switch. Driving home with the headlights playing peekaboo a couple nights okay wasn't fun.

Can you confirm the belt is routed per this diagram?

Just checking.....did you back off the adjuster to reduce tension in the drive system?

I'm not particularly a fan of Optima batteries as they have become failure prone over the last few years. They used to have a no question asked 5 year warranty but I think it's just 3 year pro-rated now. (Speaking as a former warehouse distributor employee who used to sell them everyday.)...

I sold a ton of the PA Performance alternators back when I ran a 5.0 Mustang specialty shop. They build a great product. We very rarely had a problem with their product and their customer service was excellent.

Installed a set of RT Offroad grab handles. I really like them. They're solid steel and bolt directly to the roll bar using factory hardware.

Your Harbor Freight rubber mallet head solution is exactly what I did about 2 years ago. Works great with a 33×12.5×15 BFG tire.
