I've driven both and to me there is a world of difference. Both were stock, soft top, 5 speeds. The 2.4 had around 160k on it, the 2.5 had around 190k (supposedly rebuilt). The 2.4 is way superior in my opinion but I think it's because it handles rpm better than the old pushrod setup AMC...
