I grew up in a fmily of gear head hotrodders. My parents were heavy into street racing back in the 60s and 70’s with their 66’ GTO. Later in the 70’s they had kids and my siblings and I attended a lot of illegal drag racing held out on rural farms in the country.

As I hit my teen years I built VWs and a lot of lowriders and Chevy based hotrods, and still do. However, needless to say my family never introduced me to offroading, not even a 4wd!

At twenty years old around 95’ I bought an old 85’ Toyota longbed. I just needed something dependable to get through the snow storms on my hour long commute in Colorado. Soon friends began going offroad and we found the Charles A. Wells books ( they were more like a college essay back then.. not in a traditional book form. Camping fourwheeling, rock concerts and alcohol pretty much sum up my early twenties!

From mid 90’s until 2018 I have built really nice Toyota trucks, tacomas and 4Runners. Toyota loyalist through and through. However I burned out on Toyotas around 2015 and sold everthing including my hotrods to get a fresh start with my car hobby.

I am new Jeeps. I did a lot of research and in the end as most people do I decided I wanted a LJ Rubicon.. Test drove many LJ and TJ’s and found that TJ’s made me feel like I was in an old Jeep! which is crazy cool! I had a Built Ram Full sized truck I was trying to sell when I came across the TJ I decided to get. The owner was a great guy that loved his family built TJ. We worked out a deal and both drove away with each others rides.

Excited about this new ride and hope to have a lot fun with my wife and kids this year.
