Old Green Lady - '99 Sahara

Well, finally got all brake lines installed and finally done with drum brakes. I have to say I am amazed that I was able to pull this myself but it's all completed and Old Green is all buttoned up! I didn't finish with repainting rear side of frame yet but I had to take her off jacks, it's been...

Old Green Lady - '99 Sahara

Perfect, that would be awesome! Let's plan something as soon as Covid is out! When it comes to my Sahara, last weekend I ripped out all the old brake lines and installed new ones. I also painted a front part of the frame. Don't have a lot of pictures right now but will add some when I assemble...

    Brake line replacement help needed

Well, I finally started doing this today. Got all brake lines in place and started working on rear drum brakes. I ended up stripping one of the bolts that's holding brake cylinder in place. Does anyone knows size of that bolt? Thanks!

Old Green Lady - '99 Sahara

Thank you Robert! I decided to go with Eastwood products. I have seen people going with POR-15 but I did not feel comfortable with that. POR stands for paint over rust and being somewhat perfectionist that's not an option for me. I want to get rid of the rust completely, not cover it with...

Old Green Lady - '99 Sahara

Thank you Chris! I really did not want to just paint it without removing skid as I noticed that there is so much rust in between and that stuff would just stay there until I get a hole in frame. Even that part around those 4 bolts where step get's attached is more rusty than the rest. So any...

Old Green Lady - '99 Sahara

Did not really have time to hangout on forum a lot recently but I was very busy with the Jeep. Since latest update I did quite a bit of stuff: - Destroyed my front axle shafts trying to replace u-joints. That got me really mad and I felt like I don't want to touch anything else anymore. Ended...

    Did I ruin my axle?

Hello folks! I'm so mad on myself right now and I would really appreciate your help. So u-joints on my front axle were completely frozen and rusted. I pulled right side out, cleaned it up a little bit and after a lot of smashing I was able to pull old u-joints out. However, looks like all...

    Brake line replacement help needed

Nice, I'm thinking about ordering those. I read it's a bit more difficult to work with stainless steel lines. What was your main reason to go with them versus others?

    Brake line replacement help needed

I believe these are stainless steel and they are not even that much expensive. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I4BZ4GW/?tag=wranglerorg-20 So would you guys recommend Ijust get these instead? Something like this? https://www.harborfreight.com/5-pc-metric-double-end-flare-nut-wrench-set-68866.html

    Brake line replacement help needed

Thanks @mrblaine ! I also don't understand why it says 7 pack, it should really be three lines total with washers right? I'm thinking of ordering separately cause it looks cheaper. Here are links to separate pieces: - 1 front line - don't know if it's right or left? - 1 front line - 1 rear line...
