thanks for that, but I should've mentioned this is for another car - do you know of a decent not too expensive one for trans codes? I've been throwing some parts at my ranger that has O/D off light flashing and I'm told that is the CEL for the trans - parts stores don't have capable code...

anybody know of one that reads transmission codes and isn't too expensive? doesn't have to be bluetooth There are too many to pick from and it seems the transmission code function turns the price way up - I have a cheap simple one from amazon but it doesn't read transmission codes - thanks
