Please forgive my ignorance on this, ( and correct me if Im wrong), but I am also in the same boat (jeep). I am thinking about swapping to a 44 30spline high pinion but adding chromoly RCV axles. I don't think ill ever run anything larger than 32's, so i think I'll be ok with out risking too...

OK quick update. Did the smoke test and was able to pin point a small tear in one of the lines that was on the back side very small could only find with the smoke. Cut that piece out and seems to be idling fine at the 5-600rmp. **I just want to thank you guys for the help and the advice. This...
