Rear main was i did a month ago and the oil pan, for sure going to do the valve cover, I'm going to check the rear main again when its out.

So I need to do my rear freeze plug on my 2000 4.0, decided I'm going to pull the engine to do them all. What else should I do when my engine is out, it runs good 124k on it. I don't plan on a complete rebuild but figure I would ask about some things you would freshen up when its out. Thanks!

Thanks guys, just changed my axle and was having the same issue, couple stomps later and the lights gone!

Yea I'm reasrching now where to properly measure for a driveshaft, i think I need 21in. I need to get a angle finder and try and get the pinion angle a little closer before I order the shift so I get the right size

Got my axle back, got my 4in lift on, my sye installed and my new tires on. Now I have a few questions. Where are you guys measuring from to make sure your axles are centered left and right? I put adjustable upper control arms on my rear and fixed on the bottom rear, where should I measure to...

What else could I look at above the head gasket on that side? Valve cover? should just be oil coming from there right?

that's what I thought looking at it, never looked at them before but it looked backwards, hopefully it well come out easily

So I got my phone in there and seems it must of been leaking for while and I just missed it when I bought the jeep. I've only put 70 miles on here lol. So the ones below my exhaust need addressed, or the back 2 at least. The back one on the head is not leaking. I think the second to last one...

I can see a little bit around the rear must plug below the exhaust manifold, but there Is some leaking from the bell housing. Not sure if it could be running down or both of them are leaking. The rear one on the head feels dry when I cram my hand back in there. I have the exhaust disconnected...

After replacing my my oil leak from my rear main seal, and ording $1500 in lift parts and $700 to get my axle rebuilt, I walked into the garage to see I have coolant leaking from my bell housing now. I do not believe it was leaking before, but I could have missed it with all the oil leaking...

awesome, yea its tore apart right now for my lift and I have a savvy shafter already on the way, and rear upper controls arms to adjust my pinion angle, and Adams driveshaft and a sye from jb conversions if they ever come back in stock.
