When turning my key to run without starting my oil pressure guage will climb about 3/8 up the guage then goes up to about 5/8 after starting. Could my pressure sensor be bad? Is this the dummy guage? Why does it do this

Connections, and solenoid are good. I jumped from the psitive terminal directly to the solenoid signal wire. Cranks perfect
