Again you have completely missed the point of having a lower CG 🤦‍♂️. I’ll say it again but slower for you. The limiting factor in a Jeep build is the frame and axle clearance. Everything is built bottomed out then built up from there. Your rig would be several inches higher than mine...

Fuck it, do a flat belly and don’t worry about ANYTHING else…. Flat belly for life, it’s the answer to everything offroad. 🤦‍♂️

We’re back at this again 😂. Yeah, let’s bench race some more. How many National rock crawling championships do you have? I have proven myself and my ability to design and fabricate rigs for decades. You? Let’s go even further. What do you do for a living? Me, well I live a breath...

All depends on terrain. They both don’t have 7” of up travel. Again the FRAME/AXLE is the limiting factor on up travel. But now you are getting away from the topic at hand. In your drawing which system would hang up more given the same belly height?

Big difference between that and being an asshole. Where I’m from you say whatever you want but you better be able to cash the check your mouth writes. Like I said use your grown up voice.

Now look at your drawing. Who’s suspension has the ability to have more up travel or the ability to be lowered with the same given up travel. The frame and axle are your limiting factor.

Let’s get back on point. maybe we should break this down into bite size pieces and debate things one step at a time. Belly height, ride heigh, up travel, shock length, roll centers and such are all several page long debates each. Let’s cross this “anchor” off the list first then we can...

    New Motobilt 4-Link Suspension

How is that being silly? Silly would be raising the belly only to be forced to raise the body therefore increasing both link angle and CG. The answers are in plain site and only an google search away. Look up unlimited competition rock crawlers and look though those pics. look closely at...

The point i think you are still missing is that’s both are technically a ‘flat belly”. Both transition smoothly from the links to the Belly.

It has been covered a few times in this thread. Vertical separation at the chassis. Look back through the post and you’ll see that I’ve posted my own simple drawings to show where yours is flawed. Please show me where the “shovel” is. From the end view the belly is in fact much narrower...

1st page 17th post in by Fouldplugs “It surprises me bc I always had the impression that Rob Park (Bender) really knew his shit when it came to design and fab work.” The whole first page is full of assumptions about geometry when the only part of the suspension equation is the chassis side...
