So I’m changing my connecting rod bearing on my 99 2.5L and as I’m turning the crank, this thing falls to the floor. I can’t confirm it came from inside the engine though. Any thoughts as to what is is and it’s function? Thanks, Chris

So, I ordered a used climate control module for my 99 SE that does not have A/C. After I put it in, I noticed that the idle changed with the position of the damper just like a car with A/C does. I don't think it did this with the original unit. I'm Just curious if anyone else's "Non A/C" TJ does...

Mine did it today, all the way up to 80psi. Stopped at O'reilly and picked up the "Standard" brand oil pressure sender and it is working fine now at around 40psi. I used a 22mm deep socket and it worked great.

My 99 SE gives me all the joy I need! 31's, 1" Body lift, H&R Springs and some heavy duty armor underneath. Can't even hear the piston slap if I turn the radio up! :rolleyes:

I just got a full center console for my 99 SE as well. I think I can do without the two screws you are talking about on the lower right side, but it also seems to need a bracket up front that catches the tab on the console to stabilize it. Anyone able to snap a photo of how it looks? I might...

Like Dock-Rocker said, it could be worn bushings on the transfer case linkage. I had same symptoms and ordered the Crown Automotive kit which took care of the noise. I only had to change the main brass bushing which was worn and causing the rattle. Linkage Kit
