What brand steering gear is this?

Previous owner upgraded things up front but I don't know what brand it is. It's nice heavy duty stuff. Drag link is 1.25" diameter, but has no provision for connecting stabilizer but I figured that out. Drag link tie rod end looks to be 1" dia male thread. The track bar has an offset style of...

Another source of death wobble not usually considered

DW has a bunch of potential sources, and has been extensively covered prior to this posting. One source I've not seen discussed nearly as much is having axles parallel to one another. This is my experience I just had yesterday. Started getting death wobble at the usual 40'ish mph. I could...

    What's this short electrical connector?

Well, Yes and no, the PO didn't leave the control unit for the alarm with the dealer I got it from, so one day while I was fixing something else in the doors I yanked that stuff out. Still have some security box wired up under the dash, says Viper on it I think. Concerned if I remove it the jeep...

Steering wheel not straight: Pitman arm or drag link end?

I'm having a similar (but different) issue as the original poster. With the pitman arm parallel to the fore-aft axis of the jeep (06 LJ rubicon) my steering wheel is rotated 90 deg clockwise (blocks the view of the gauges). If I turn the steering wheel CCW to level it out, the pitman arm is...

    No fuel again

at long last, an update - and resolution. First I printed out the wiring diagrams from the factory service manual, learning the symbols for wire colors, splices, grounds, etc. Located the fuel pump and associated wires coming out of it. Looked into where those wires ran on their way from the...

    No fuel again

Won't get to look into this until next week, so if anyone discovered a spot where their wiring insulation was damaged, exposing the wire to potential of shorting out, let me know where it was on the vehicle, especially as related to the wiring for the fuel pump. TIA

    No fuel again

thinking wiring issue now for sure. Replaced the fuse, it started and ran for a few minutes, I backed out of the garage, fine, put it in first, it died. Fuse blown replaced fuse, tried starting, just blew the fuse. So I think the pump is fine, it's just a short somewhere that I need to find...
