Keeping heat from coming through the floor

Drove our Jeep about 400 miles this past weekend, which is the longest we’ve ever driven it. Honestly it did great… other than the heat. I thought my wife dog and I were all going to get heat stroke at one point. The A/C works fine but can’t seem to keep up. A big source of heat seems to be the...

Getting drag link off pitman arm

I got it! I was pretty sick the last few days but finally felt good enough to go try again. I warrantied the puller tool that bent and got a new set for free. I heat up the pitman arm end a little bit and put about the max amount of tension on the new tool that I could before it started...

Getting drag link off pitman arm

Thanks. I think I’m going to try to add a small amount of heat with a map pro torch being careful not to heat the steering box, then try to use the hammer and the fork. Wild it’s in there with that much force that my tool bent. Frustrating

Getting drag link off pitman arm

Will using the pickle fork damage the steering box? Also.. is there any specific order I’m supposed to be removing the steering system? I removed the steering stabilizer and then I was moving to the drag link at the pitman arm

Getting drag link off pitman arm

I have one of these too, there’s a line right above it though so I don’t think this will fit

Getting drag link off pitman arm

I already sprayed the crap out of it with blaster and liquid wrench and tapped on it when I had a ton of pressure on it with the tie rod tool. No luck. Hoping I don’t have to end up removing the pitman arm or something

Getting drag link off pitman arm

Doing the ZJ swap on my TJ and I can’t get the drag link tie rod end off the pitman arm. This might be a stupid question, but do I have to remove the joints at the wheels first? It got to the point where my tool is bending. Everything else is still connected and I thought I could remove this...

    Possible hand tool maintenance tip

How do they even get rusty in the first place? I have a spray bottle in my garage with like 50% water and 50% dawn dish soap. After I knock out a project I just spray wrenches, sockets, etc you name it and wipe with a microfiber. I’ve had a lot of the same stuff for 10+ years now that still...

    Soft top hitting passenger door

Everything seems aligned aside from this part of the top. It sits on the top of the windshield perfectly even

    Soft top hitting passenger door

Haha. No it’s not all the way in there. If I push it all the way in it makes the problem way worse since it angles the top down more. If I push it in I can’t even shut the door. I’ve kinda bent it back as far as I could manage. It still hits the top of the door though

    Soft top hitting passenger door

Haha. I knew that comment was coming.

    Soft top hitting passenger door

I just put my top back up and realize the passenger door isn’t closing all the way. It’s because the soft top is folding inwards and getting caught on the door. Why is this? I can bend the soft top out of the way so the door shuts… but I shouldn’t have to.

Having trouble torquing rear lower control arm bolts

My fronts didn’t really shift much compared to the rears. I had my wife lightly rock the Jeep and the bolts slid right in.

Having trouble torquing rear lower control arm bolts

I’m not 70, but I’m built like a toothpick and had trouble with those too. I had to slide a floor jack under the torque wrench handle and pumped the jack until I heard my wrench click

    Anyone Running 33" Pizza Cutters?

Do you have a picture? I have OEM ravines too and I was thinking of 33x12.5s.. I didn’t think a 2.5 lift would be enough
