I don't think there's really any product that's going to do much to mitigate damage in a rear impact situation of any significance. Many here, myself included, favor the MORryde tailgate system that strengthens the tailgate and tire carrier. Not sure I'd suggest it'll do much to reduce damage...

The MORryde kit is highly recommeded by many around here. I run one myself. Eliminates the need to open a swing-out carrier in addition to the rear door, nothing to rattle, lighter, good for up to 35" tires and works with the OEM carrier. https://www.morryde.com/products-cat/reinforcement/

Check out the threads others have linked first. I'd also recommend steering clear of Rough Country. Before doing enough research, I installed a RC 2" spacer lift shortly after buying my TJ. Didn't have springs but came with shocks, which I'm sure are probably the same ones you'll get with...

2.5" spring lift + 1.25" body lift and 1" motor mount lift. 33/10.5/ r15 BFG KO2s. Excellent in both on road ride and off road performance.
