Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

Well, I'm back at the project again lol. Finally got it drug into the shop and have my mechanic helping me get it done on the side since I seem to be completely unable to pull myself into it as much as needed. Transmission is in, transfer case goes in today, and we sorted out my mountain of...

    Rear quarter panel protection

Confirmed, I went with Nemesis and not disappointed. I would suggest you email/call them before you order to check the lead time, it did take them a few weeks to fab mine. I did the prep and paint myself as opposed to getting them powder coated.

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

Hey everybody, it's been a hot minute. It's amazing how quickly your free time disappears when you have your first little one and try to change jobs all at the same time. The good news, the project isn't dead, just been on hold! I'm looking to dive back in and finish this before summer. As it...

For sure, so much cleaner up top without a ton of plug wires all over. 10/10 would do again.

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

And then, there was Hemi! So I finally got a weekend at home and took full advantage. I've got one more week in Seattle and then I get to work from home again for a while, which means I should be able to get this thing wrapped up before it gets to 110 degrees. Some updates: Parts: RedRock...

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

I did use duplicolor PBT, but no clear coat. I know I'm going to have to touch them up once in a while, so I figured I'd forego the clear and make it easy to respray. If that doesn't work out, it's easy to sand them and stick with the rustoleum satin black enamel to match the bumpers and flares...

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

Had a weekend at home and actually got something done... As stated above, I've been on an out of town work assignment since January. It's going to continue until late April, which is really putting a kink in my progress. That said, I did get a chance to do a few things on the jeep. Engine...

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

Well....my two week assignment in Seattle has turned into a 3.5 month assignment, so while good for the pocket book, bad for progress. I've been jones-ing to keep going, but getting a day or two at home here and there makes it tough. Work should chill out in April, and then it's back to full speed.

Davemayn13's 2004 LJ Hemi Swap Project

Bad news: I got called out of town for work for the next couple weeks. I'll be in @Wildman 's neck of the woods. Good News: per diem (pronounced "Jeep Diem") Transfer Case: Atlas 3.8:1 showed up this week. Excited to get that under the Jeep. Not sure what degree I need to clock it at, so...
