    Push rod anomaly

Thanks for the offer! Autozone of all places had a set of mellings for $5 each. I replaced them all to be done with it.

    Push rod anomaly

The head had never been off but I dont know the service history of the engine. I replaced all pushrods and head bolts with melling. I've never seen or heard of anything like it.

    Push rod anomaly

I thought the same about it being a cracked seam. The stain looks more like rust than oil. All the rockers were cleaned in the solvent tank and look ok.

    Electric Cooler Chest

I have an iceco 37 in the jeep and as long as I start it every other day it won't kill the battery. Another iceco 20 in the camper that 200w of solar will keep the batteries charged. My first cooler was a Massimo. It works well but is an energy hog and doesn't really have an eco mode. In the...

    Push rod anomaly

Anyone seen this before? I changed the pistons and changed the valve seals at the same time. Valves are free and there was no lifter tick. 99 4.0, unknown mileage.

    A/C not working!

Different dyes glow at different wavelengths. If you don't have the right light you may not see anything. If there was air in the system and you added refrigerant then you now have acid in the system. Find the leak and do a proper repair before this gets super expensive.

    All the wrong transmission mounts

Ax15. Here are some pics of the motor mounts with the XJ trans mount installed. Passenger side looks pretty square, driver side has a gap in the rear, consistent with the trans being offset to the passenger side. I have a new set of MORE MMLs to put in today.

    All the wrong transmission mounts

The date code stamped in the block is 99. It looks like the major changes are accessory drive, coil pack, and AC mounting. I don't have issues with any of those. I would think the motor mounts would be off by a mile, not millimeters.

    All the wrong transmission mounts

99 TJ 4.0 AX15 1" motor mount lift, 1.25" body lift, 4" Savvy short arm suspension. Previous owner told me the engine had been swapped from a 99-ish cherokee. I've had it for about 5 years and it's always been a little...off. The gear shift would hit the body when going into reverse, the fan...

    Coolant on serpentine belt

I got mine after a recommendation on here. But when I took the screenshot yesterday I did notice it said for 7/8" belts. Looks like I'm ordering another one. Lol. Now I want to compare readings of the 2 tools on the same belt.

    Coolant on serpentine belt

Yes. Mine was blue from continental but same size. I belive the spec for the belt is 180-200 pounds for a new belt and 140-160 for a used belt. I measured between the PS and the water pump. I was surprised how tight 150 was.

    Coolant on serpentine belt

You need a cricket belt tension gauge. The proper tension is a lot more than you think when checking by hand.

    Smoke Machine

This machine has a 1psi and a 7psi setting for intake or exhaust systems. Evap systems must be regulated to 1psi.

    You guys are bad influences...

Don't sell. You need another sami if you're going to keep up.
