New to the TJ world. Coming from the JKU world.
My TJ had 170,000 miles when I got it. I traded my 1974 Styer-Puch 710K for the jeep. Both vehicles were "project vehicles" so it was an even trade. The TJ came with a lot of mods and I'am still figuring out what all was done before I got it. Here is a list of what I know:
1" Body lift.
?" Suspension lift.
Air Compressor (on board)
Vent Mounted Switch
Aftermarket front Tube Fenders (steel)
Aftermarket Rear Bumper
Aftermarket Front Bumper
Aftermarket Radio
Steel Wheels with Bead Locks
33x12 tires.
Front sway bar disconnects
Here is a list of Mods/Work that I am planning:
Replace Brakes (front and rear)
Replace Rear Axle Wheel Bolts with longer ones to accommodate wheel adapter/spacer (factory bolts did not have enough thread length for a safe installation).
Align Front Wheels
Find the Air Bag Light gremlin...
Install/Try a Frameless Top
Replace all u-joints
Replace ALL of the fluids
Replace front bucket seats with Recaro SE seats
Install Gobi Rack
Install Hood Mounted HI-Jack
Possibly a two battery tray system
Install obnoxious LED lights everywhere I can
Should be "fun"...
Here is a list of what I have done so far:
Replaced Wheels/Tires with JK 18" Sahara Rims fitted with Goodyear Duratrac Tires. To do this I used 1.25" spacer/adapters.
Added a Barricade Trail Force HD Front Bumper
Added a Smittybilt XRC 9500 lbs. winch (steel cable)
