Jeep is good, no more noise. It was the double cardon yoke . Not sure what it’s called but the housing was stretched and allowed movement in the joints.

I rebuilt that shaft about a year ago chasing a vibration and I remember the joint bonded up and I had to force it to get it free to rotate. I must of boogered it up. That’s why I took it also to be checked. Fin i remember chasing a vibration and fixing it after rebuilding the rear drive...

05 Sport build (Mid Life Crisis)

Just got a call from the shop. He said he found it . The joint in the drive shaft is bad. He said the case looked good and the shaft tested good on the machine but he rotated it and found it. I couldn’t test it by pulling the rear cause the front auto locker wanted to push me in a ditch. We’ll see.

Yes only under load. like a zip tie on the driveshaft or baseball card in spokes type noise. I can press the clutch in and rev no noises. It has to be in the case, I've rebuilt the whole driveline except unit bearings and ball joints, and I don't think its them.

05 Sport build (Mid Life Crisis)

I stopped by Hudlow's yesterday to check on my case, the mechanic told me he hasn't had a chance to look in the case. This is after the day before I called and Dallas told me it was opened and no problems were found. So I meet them this morning when they opened the doors to figure out what is...

Just talked to Dallas at Hudlow's Axle, and the t-case and rear driveshaft tested/looked fine. All he found was the plastic fork pieces broke.

I pulled the T.case and rear driveshaft yesterday and dropped them off at Hudlow Axle to look for problems. I hope he finds something cause I’ve rebuilt the whole drivetrain after this.

Transfer case removal from AX15 without draining?

Great! I didn't loose any when I removed the NSG-370 but wasn't sure about the ax-15. Thanks

Transfer case removal from AX15 without draining?

I just installed a brand new AX-15 over the weekend and now I have to pull the t-case for a rebuild. I'm trying to eliminate an awful rotational clunk I have. I filled with MTL and only have 50 mile on the new tranny/fluid, Will I loose oil from the ax-15 If I pull the T-case? Thanks

New AX-15 clutch fork / throwout bearing orientation. Is this correct?

Hey guys, can someone with experience confirm I have the clutch fork and the throw out bearing installed in the correct orientation? Thanks

Georgia Re-gear in north Georgia / Chattanooga, TN

I just got a quote from a reputable shop here in Chattanooga (Hudlow Axle) for 2k for a re-gear with an overhaul. I know prices have went up lately and don't mind paying the pros to do this type of work. Anyone recommend a shop in this area? Or anyone that does this on the side near me? I am a...

Play in passenger u-Joint before and after replacement.

I’ve been going through this Jeep since I got it trying to tighten things up. Rebuilt both DS and found a little play in the passenger side axle u-joint so I bought 2 spicer 5-760 . I noticed a knocking noise under load last week so I removed the front driveshaft and still got the noise just not...

    Quick disconnects bushing install

So what’s the trick installing these bushings? I’ve tried a bearing press and vise. The bushing just mushrooms out and don’t go in. I have almost destroyed the bushing trying
