I have bypassed the harness to test it. Though I'm not sure that's a 100% test. It still does it, with the harness bypassed. The only thing left untouched is the PCM. Though it could possibly be the harness. As I had to leave it plugged in to the system as I was bypassing it to keep the jeep...

Did this further up in the post. Speedo gear is 3-4 years old and looks great. Put a new VSS on just because, did nothing. Keep in mind the speedo flips out with out the vehicle moving, while its parked as well. Even without the engine running. Though it is more frequent with the engine running.

Any body out there?

Hello, I have a 2000 Sahara 6cyl Manual. I had the ODB reader hooked up to it and noticed my WOT is only 78%. Shouldn't it be 100%. I know its just reading voltage. I do feel like the jeep is missing a little zip, I bought it with 33s / 3.73 gearing. So it may just be that. I hated max reving...

Ok I got the ODB reader. The ECM is indeed freaking out with the insturment cluster speedo. Video attached below.

Ya I don't have the reader you're talking about. I looked up what I think you're talking about on Amazon for like 70 bucks. You think that will tell me the info you talking about?

Just put a new insturment cluster in it and it's doing the same thing. So to summerize. I have put a new VSS on the transfer case, I've rewired the VSS to the computer and I've changed out the insturment cluster. The speedo still bounces with the engine running. Even when parked and not moving...

Well rewiring the VSS started promising however after about 5 miles of working perfectly, it started doing it again. However this time it was very different.
