Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I've had that too where I've parked off a thread to read up and haven't finished thought it. And that's on me. But I've had it where I know I've read the last one and don't get the latest update. Seems to be random in that case - so the best kind of issue for the coders to fix... ;)

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I'll drop a note/thread to Chris. Been thinking about doing that for a while. Good to know I'm not the only one seeing that issue. You were focused on the problem you were looking at. Posting to the forum is always helpful to get more eyes to see what we may overlook in the moment... You'll...

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Cruising the forum, I found out tonight I wasn't getting notified of your thread updates (not the first time I'd found the forum isn't pushing alerts for a thread here or there...) so just read through your updates from mid-last week. I'm glad someone pointed out that crack in the block because...

Work Bench & Garage Version 2

Thanks! It was very rewarding to get things organized. More to coming... Thanks! I'll really have to police myself because in our house we turn every large surface into a shelf.... Gotta break that habit, at least in the garage!

Work Bench & Garage Version 2

Big day today.... Started off with the garage looking like this: Moved a number of items to the basement and shed and pulled items off the shelving units that the new workbench is intended to replace. Looked good when everything was emptied out. Moved the workbenches into place. Used a...

Work Bench & Garage Version 2

Built the shelving unit skeleton earlier this week. Today, I realized, I failed the first rule of building - read the blueprints... I don't know why, but I designed the shelve 2x4s that are there for the 'depth' were designed to mount to the 'length' boards, rather than screwing directly into...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Drove the TJ for the first time in a couple weeks. Ran out to grab lunch and saw this palindrome when I parked it back in the driveway. :)

Work Bench & Garage Version 2

Yes - This thing is heavy. It'll be fixed. It's a '2-car garage' with a single 'double-wide' door. I'd hate my life if I parked 2 cars in there every day... :ROFLMAO: So far the welding table & portable Black & Decker workbench have worked on the projects that I've needed to work in the middle...

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Can't dictate my boys being interested in auto work but I can hope to encourage them. Don't you have a jeep on the trailer for your daughter? No time like the present to get her involved when you wrench on it (once you clear garage space). ;)

Building Homer (2005 TJ Build Thread)

You've got a good one there! With me buying the Savvy engine skid, my wife and I were reminiscence about her gifting me the SkidRow engine skid for Christmas while we were dating. She managed to get it wrapped and I love her for it! She is beyond supportive of the money hole that is Homer...

Building Homer (2005 TJ Build Thread)

I've been holding off on pics of the Jeep in all it's glory until I get to work on the paint - plans to claybar, polish, & wax. Next up is to paint the frame. I'm still running without a bumper... I'll get some shot up next time I get him on the road. Working on the garage now...

Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

Congrats on getting the OEM washer bottle to fit. I went with an aftermarket for my GR inners. https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/building-homer-2005-tj-build-thread.69559/page-9#post-1433257 It is significantly smaller.... Just run the wipers to clean the windows and I'm about 10% down on...

    A rebuild of #miRustyJeep...

I suspected as much on the soft-foot/quick release clamps from HF... Gotta try some name brand to compare. I figure they would be good for initial placement but metal vice-grip styles will be the go-to for the final install/drilling.

Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I'm already long term planning — it could be a fun dad/sons project to build an engine together when they get old enough to participate... ;) Agree though, everything for them comes first!

Work Bench & Garage Version 2

Started off the day running to HF to get a router and a 1" deep flat-trim bit. Finished cutting the remaining plywood. Here's the 'kit' for my workbench: Still had to notch each shelf to fit inside the supports... Got through Workbench #1 (left-most workbench section closest to the air...
