    New TJ Hood

Cowl venting is aerodynamically awful with the TJ windsheild. It will increase underhood pressures and reduce the effectiveness of the radiator.

    Motor Mount Height Question

The problem is that DC driveshafts want the angle at the axle end to be 0. You can't do that with a front DS and maintain a functioning caster angle. This is why it's best to start with the font DS out, dial in the rear DS, then work the front and try to retain as much caster while tamping...

    Motor Mount Height Question

The rear DS angles are steeper and an issue frequently, but the front DS is a double edge sword to balance vibrations and caster. If you raise the motor, the front DS angles become steeper which introduce vibration there.

    Motor Mount Height Question

Your drawing is conceptually accurate. There are some 1/2" aluminum spacers on Summit that you can use for an in-between option. A 2 pack is like $6 I think. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/AAF-ALL18766

    Motor Mount Height Question

Can't see in the photos, but you may also have some left-right angle introduced if you don't have have good centering via your track bars. Usually not an issue, but sometimes if you're on the edge, that 3D angle may be enough to cause some headaches. When I installed the Barnes bolt-on aka...

    Steel vs Aluminum Swap

I'd also recommend saving weight with an aluminum cylinder head while you're at it. ;) Not exactly luxurious in those days! But at least they're not like Porsche. It costs money to delete the radio in the configuration ?!?

Car pics too cool not to share

We've been really fortunate to go to Indy a few times. Truly unique for a race at that level still to this day. A privateer team is able to show up, pass safety tech and try to qualify. And they still do, sometimes knocking off full season IndyCar team cars. A bit different with everyone...

There is. The road feel is so good. The Masters have such good stable geometry too. I've carved down high passes getting up to 55mph on it with so much confidence, and then you can ride for miles without touching the handlebars. I built it with Dura-Ace 9000. A bit heretical, but it's...

Master 30th Anniversary. Love riding it. Used to build them when I was young and couldn't afford them. I still love riding good steel frames

DEI Insulation Kit Website VS Amazon

Bought both, the DEI version is much higher quality.

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

With the DEI underhood sound deadening- Very noticeable improvement on trail/idle. When I went to the electric fan, most of that noise is now gone.

    New TJ Hood

Wow. That's well thought out and a big investment to do stamped steel.

Would you add sound deadening to an Armorlite installation?

Yes. My boom mat on the hard top was basically this and a revelation. I ran my soft top recently over to Moab (5hrs) and the stuff I've done on the floor has been equally effective. Soft top is about 3db louder at highway speed. Yes. I did the CLD patches on door skin, foam on back of door...

Metalcloak (or others) control arm orientation question

That's normal. The grease is there when they need to slip in the joint. Depending how old they are, the bushing rubber compound now has kevlar/aramid in the rubber which is meant to strengthen it. I agree. @freedom_in_4low and @Mike_H are pointing you in the right direction. I'd start with...
