Not the engine swap I want, but the engine swap I need.

If it sounds healthy and has no obvious leaks, I wouldn't bother replacing seals and gaskets. While you might think of a RMS change now being much easier than later, more often than not, they're more prone to leaking after a change than they were before. Just put fresh fluids in, and do the...

Lets backup for a moment—or maybe not (problem in reverse when warm)

Do the RPMs drop when it goes into reverse? Cold, the idle will be higher and the drop isn't enough to stall it. Warm, there's less buffer there.

    Hardtop hardware

I had to grind out some mismatched hardware from the PO, rusted in place and stripped out...couldn't get an extractor on it tight against the roll bar...couldn't get a wrench on the nut down below with no line of access. Only tool-free hardtop hardware for me after that!

    Hardtop hardware

I bought a set of the amazon hardware, too, but went with this one for a little over half the price: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FJKB568/?tag=wranglerorg-20 Works great and is probably identical to the others. You only use 6 of the 8, but maybe the longer LJ top adds a 4th bolt on...

Do these thimble mounts come with the Savvy bumpers?

So, you stopped supporting the thing you do believe in, out of protest of the thing you don't believe in? I mean, it's good to see a business take a stand and not just cater to the bottom line, but I don't really follow your logic.

Do these thimble mounts come with the Savvy bumpers?

I could see thinking that way if this were a Prius forum, but I'd hate to have that outlook regarding Jeepsters.

Do these thimble mounts come with the Savvy bumpers?

Why not provide both versions? I generally assume people are smart enough to pick the one tailored to their application.

You could be right. I assumed the background was photoshopped around an actual vehicle, but maybe not.

Loud chirping at idle and gets faster on acceleration

I would guess it's the alternator itself, but check that the new belt isn't glazed from slipping.

Advice on how to sell my Jeep

I've never seen one nearly that un-ugly. It has different windows, though, which is a big part of it. Did they make different versions I'm unaware of, or did someone apply some heavy lipstick to that pig?

Advice on how to sell my Jeep

Uh, orange isn't the most popular color in Eugene. No, I said, "You may not be aware of pushing prospective buyers away before they even look at the Jeep." You said you've had inquiries, but that no one has come to look at it. Make sure you're not being antagonistic with them.

Another idea: Take a trip to OSU and post some flyers around campus. That color would be Hawt in Corvallis. Or hit up Beaverton or Molalla or Sprague or Dallas high schools... Er, that just got weird.

Advice on how to sell my Jeep

Problem: Low demand for the 4-cyl. Solution: Market it as a low price of entry for a LS swap into a clean body and framed TJ. Seriously, though, it takes a lot of patience to sell a vehicle nowadays. There's just sooooo many options out there for buyers, compared to the days of old where...
