What hardware is supposed to be used with these Core 4x4 control arm bushings?

Turns out this doesn't matter. The tension created by the bolt presses the mount into the bushing and clamps the sleeve at each end, so long as your bolt doesn't move inside the hole in the frame mount its fine for there to be a gap between the ID of the sleeve and the OD of the bolt. Installed...

What hardware is supposed to be used with these Core 4x4 control arm bushings?

Video for specific context (and to help future eBay cheapskates like me), stock CA versus new, stock hardware.

What hardware is supposed to be used with these Core 4x4 control arm bushings?

SO there should be zero play between the bolts and the inner sleeve? i.e. can someone with greater experience than me confirm whether the CA bolts should be the same diameter as the internal diameter of the metal sleeve in the bushing? There is play between the sleeve of my new CAs and the...

What's the procedure for replacing the axle side control arm bushings?

I think that diagram is wrong because it shows the axle side UCA bushing as if it’s contained within the arm, which it’s not, even though that diagram came from the 2005 parts manual linked in the stickies

What's the procedure for replacing the axle side control arm bushings?

Anyone have a part number for the axle side bushings? Or a link to one even better? Have tried but can’t work it out from the parts manual. Ignore the black oblong I was watching Netflix when I took the screenshot haha.

So your towing issue was solved by putting setting the key correctly in the ignition? I.e. your steering wheel wasn’t free like you thought? That’s a cheap fix haha! I’m interested in what you wrote above though; “stay stock, you can’t fix a design that’s not broken“. Does this mean you’ve...

    What is this squeaking noise?

Thanks man I will look for loose bolts, hadn’t thought of that, plus will recheck Universal Joints at wheels and shafts. The beauty of being on the other side of the planet to the States is that I might hopefully wake up to a laundry list of other things I can check tomorrow before I have to go...

    What is this squeaking noise?

2005 TJ. Nothing special not a rubicon. Stock except for a shitty lift from PO.

    What is this squeaking noise?

This squeak has developed over the last three months. Intermittent at first, now pretty constant. I drive about 30km a week, with a longer trip wheeling maybe once a month. Sounds like it’s coming from the undercarriage somewhere, not the engine, not the body (not a rattle). Doesn’t seem to...
