    Camshaft position sensor (CPS) issues

Checking the wiring visually and checking it with tools are two completely different worlds. The scope, and test light won't lie.

    Camshaft position sensor (CPS) issues

Screams bad ground or chaffed/bad connection on signal wire. Probably nothing to do with 5 volt ref being that no other sensors drop out. But, could be intermittent connection there too. Time to break out the scope and get to wiggling. Quit chucking parts at it.

Is this an OPDA issue or not?

Try driving it with the OPDA removed.

Getting rid of the pesky engine light

What would cats have to do with an upstream O2 sensor?

Getting rid of the pesky engine light

Slow response is usually caused by a lazy or old O2 sensor. It can also come from replacing the OEM sensor with a junk parts store brand. However, you asked how to ACTUALLY diagnose it. To do this, you need to verify that the signal is slow by looking at graphed data compared to a known good...

    PCM replacement?

You need to check to make sure the PCM controlled ground isn't shorted to ground before you throw a PCM at it (VERY COMMON). Otherwise you're just chucking parts and shooting in the dark. There are a few ways to skin this cat. But I believe this is the quickest way. With an INCANDECENT test...

    P0118 help

You have one. Changing the sensor will more than likely fix it (a quick resistance check would confirm) unless there's a wiring issue or a super rare PCM issue. Idk about fitment or finding a reputable dealer. If I can't find OEM, I just use whatever the stupid parts houses carry. It's too easy...

    New Vibration

I just watched the Tom woods video. Glad I did. I didn’t realize there was a centering ball. Am I correct that my LJ (non rubicon with a stock rear driveshaft) will only have one centering ball to replace on the front? There isnt one on the rear?

    New Vibration

So I just finished test driving it with both driveshafts out one at a time. The vibe is still there and really noticeable at about 60-65 and especially when letting off the gas at about 65 in gear and letting it decel. It did seem a little better with the front driveshaft out vs. with the rear...
