Good power needs a good ground. Make sure pins 4-5 can light a test light. Most cheap scan tools only pull mode 1-7. Vin recognition is Mode 9. An aftermarket scan tool that utilizes OEM protocols (not obd2) will pull the vin data with no issue.

What happens when you pull fuse 9? Do they still flash? You’re sure that your MFSW connector isn’t melted?

Yeah I guess I didn’t think about that. The backspacing is 4.5 if I remember right. I see you mounted them and are torn. My advice would be to go with the no spaced version if you’re ok with the look. You’ll fling mud and dirty water with every puddle you hit with the spacers.

Mine never touched the side either but the wobble it had was enough to piss it off at high rpm. The up and down play (axial play) doesn’t matter much for this conversation. It’s the side to side (radial play) that screws up the very picky air gap for the Hall effect sensor that matters most.
