Should I look for TJ wheels or JK wheels?

I get what you mean. I have the same questions. I would randomly think that you could possibly check the torque with maybe 5lbs less or so on the wrench. I’ll try them and see what happens. Short of my wheels falling off I think I’ll be alright. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should I look for TJ wheels or JK wheels?

Good to know, I just wasn’t sure how hard it was to remove and replace them on a new shaft since I’ve never used them before. I guess I should get a good quality brand and check them (torque) with every oil change/tire rotation and I should be fine right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should I look for TJ wheels or JK wheels?

I’m starting to reconsider using adapters for the Ravines that I have. I wheel where there’s possible breakage and I may not want to deal with the adapter if I were to have to replace a shaft on the trail. I suppose I could just have a spare that is the proper back spacing. I love the JK and TJ...

'98 Sahara build: "Staying the Course"

Actually it was pretty bad this time. School closures and cars stuck all over the place and tons of wrecks. It dumped for 2 days straight pretty heavily. I’ve said this before, we get heavy snow maybe 3-5 times a year and other then that it’s 0-6 inches maybe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dog breeds

I have 2 of them in there. They grow larger with a larger tank. We won them at the fair 8 years ago!! I can’t believe they made it. They were so small, now they’re bigger than some fish I’ve caught in the lake!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Daisy and Ariel

    I want bigger tires... but

I have a forum recommended Powertrax No-Slip in my Dana 30. I love it so far. I paid $400 and I have extra stock shafts that are fully assembled. I believe the chromoly shafts are $500-$600 so for me, they can wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I want bigger tires... but

You will love the 4.56 gears with that tranny. I can’t imagine 3.07s on 35s as I was on 33s for a month with that ratio and it was unbearable. I imagine once you do the gear change you will think that it was pretty awful on the streets anyways. I went to 4.56 and was smiling and laughing at the...

Doing rear drum brakes? A must read!

Haha you are 100% correct. It was not the backing plate but I’m glad that you caught that. It has been a few weeks and my memory failed to realize that it was in the shoe or “web” as you say it is called. I’m just glad I could finally help with something rather than always asking this one time...

Doing rear drum brakes? A must read!

I just went through this, and I didn’t read every post so if it’s already been said then disregard. My experience- IF THE CABLE GUIDE ISN’T SEATED ALL THE WAY IN THE BACKING PLATE the lever will not catch. That was my main issue on both sides. It may seem to be seated but it may not be. I had to...

Dropping Dana 35 & bolting up Dana 44

I just did mine and I’m far from being mechanically inclined as most Jeep owners seem to be. I can mess up most things somehow. Just take your time and check everything 5 times like I did. Definitely try and get a helper. I had zero help and it was a pain, especially when I needed a tool that...
