TJ water leak, possible solution, passenger side

Hi, Finland calling. As all of you are aware, Jeeps leak when it rains. That said, I can only speak for myself. On one occasion the passenger side was flooded with water...tried various methods and finally have found one of the sources for leaking TJs...and it is our fault, not Chrysler. 1...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Sorry for not being clear. Yes I had the upstream o2 sensor changed (before the catalytic convertor close to engine). Neglected the o2 sensor downstream (after the catalytic converter). There was the problem...at least until now. Note 97 TJ has only two o2 sensors. Time will tell

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

To SSTJ et al. Problem solved (for now). Long story short, my 1997 2.5l Wrangler TJ began to slow down when there was a small incline on the highway...note this is always highway driving around 80 kms/h (about 50mph/h)...RPM around 2-2,5K. I thought hmmmm, pressed my pedal down to the floor and...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Sorry for next t being clear. I will be driving at a constant speed in 5th gear and suddenly the engine hesitates as if no fuel, “coughs” hesitates....then goes as normal and after a while repeats. This happens after 25k rpm. I guess when engine heats up. It does not stall, just hesitates. Does...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Thank you TJ4Jim, Jeep Wranglers are not that common in Finland. And I am a member of the Jeep Club here, but again, no input from there. That said, I just ordered the CPS from Spain (probably Crown product). Thus, that is my next upgrade will do, but have to wait until next week since it is on...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Indeed, like me, no mechanical experience, but I do know when something is wrong...sort of like if you have a dog, you know something is not right, but the dog cannot tell you what it is. This is really becoming a PITA. So to recap this is what I have changed in last 3 weeks: Fuel filter, spark...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Any ideas and solution would be great. Coughing and jerking can occur as I cruise along and RPM is at 2.5 and more....not during gear change. Does it 3-5 times...then after 10 mins again etc

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Thank you SSTJ, I do have an extra new fuel pump...however having spoken to several people, everyone thinks it is a lose wire, something not done properly etc....conclusion, easy to fix but hard to find. Coupled with the fact I have done so many changes. Am clueless and frustrated at this point...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Hi, I still need help from this forum. Pressure test done, all good. Changed TPS, ignition coil, fuel filter, spark plugs, dist. cap and rotor, fuel injectors, air idle valve cleaned....and it still jumps as if not getting fuel. What can be the problem?

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

....yep, that thought too has crossed my mind, but they are hard to find, at least those who will work on a Jeep, albeit easier than the flood of Audi, BMW and Mercedes here....plus electric is the big thing here. And the prices are crazy...as is everything in Finland...my cousin bought a new...

    2.5 TJ has hesitation issues

Ahh, thanks once again. I do not know if the TPS needs to be changed...am just trying out everything. Mopar parts are hard to come by and then naturally shipping costs, time coupled with a 24% value added tax on the total price is what they do here. Thanks for tip re ignition coil. Am just at...
