    JeepManJones' 2005 TJ X Build

Well I learned a lot in the past few days. Number one, before I go lifting and enlarging everything on the Jeep, I have decided to enjoy it in stock form. I hit the ground running too fast. Didn't even give myself a chance to enjoy it as is. Instead of tossing all sorts of parts at the Jeep, I...

Where can I find an OEM style 6-speed shift knob?

Ordered the OEM knob from MoparPartsOverstock.com. Awesome website with super helpful parts diagrams. Also ordered a real nice black leather outer boot with deep red stitching from Redlinegoods.com. Thank you all for the help.

Where can I find an OEM style 6-speed shift knob?

Thread size. I just want to purchase a knob that screws right on to the existing column. And an outer boot.

Where can I find an OEM style 6-speed shift knob?

Honestly I don't really care if either is OEM or aftermarket, as long as the shift knob has threads that screw right onto the column. I have used one with a locknut in the past and have had great luck but cannot seem to find one for the NSG370.

Where can I find an OEM style 6-speed shift knob?

The shift knob that came on my TJ is some light up aftermarket BS that is faded, torn, and disgusting. Where can I find a shift knob for the NSG370 that threads on like the OEM one? I can't stand the knobs that come with a set screw and all sorts of adaptors. Had one on my Tacoma and it damaged...

    NSG370 Questions

Ok very reassuring. Until she starts really acting up I'm not gonna touch it. Seems like every time I try to make something perfect, it gets even worse :ROFLMAO:

Last time I tried to do the quarter mile in the CJ5 3 speed, I ended up with 3 neutrals and a reverse

Very reassuring. Going to to all of the fluids soon and will make sure to pick up a few quarts of the Redline MTL. (y)

    NSG370 Questions

Took the new TJ for a spin today around the neighborhood. I noticed that the tranny feels kinda gritty when shifting into first from a stop. Not a grinding noise or anything, it just has a gritty feel. Now it does have 196k on it so I'm not too worried, just wanted to get an opinion. Not sure if...

    JeepManJones' 2005 TJ X Build

Well, here we go! Pictured below is the new to me 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ X, with the infamous 4.0 inline six paired to the NSG370 6 Speed Manual transmission. It has 196,000 miles. I practically stole it at $3550 and the frame is mint. The previous owner just had the rear main seal replaced...

Keep looking! Had been looking for a CJ5 for months turns out a friend of a friend had one in his backyard... half a mile from my house! He was asking I believe $2900. It needed a lot of work. Basically needed every wear part replaced and more... $1000 later and it was mine . I guess I'm...

The Dauntless 225 paired with the 3 Speed (which I believe its the T-90?) is indeed a superb setup. Nothing like the inline R to 1st shift... there's nothing on it that a simple set of tools can't fix. I'd drive the thing to California if I could-- and be totally confident it would make it there...
