Good idea. Better yet, which is better? 2.875 inch lift or 3.125 inch? I think the 3.125 would be ideal, so I can have a full 3 inch lift taking into account the 1/8 inch that the weight of the jeep puts in the tires... Also, which manufacturer is best?

Yes. I didn't know there was a distinction. I am not too familiar with transmissions as you can tell. I can say that 1 transmission shop and 2 lube centers I called would not do more than what they called an "exchange", which would only have replaced 4 of the 10 or so quarts with fresh fluid...

I hope I can get that much time out of mine! For the price, I am willing to roll the dice. On another note: does the 1.3 bar (18 PSI ) cap on this one run the risk of causing too much pressure and causing other coolant lines, parts etc to leak (such as the heater core)?

Thanks for the input. I have always used sealant on paper gaskets. I did not realize that it created such an issue with rubber gaskets. So now BACK to the transmission for another new gasket!
