    Another alignment issue

My new (to me) 06 LJR w/80K miles on it. I just installed a Metalcloak 3.5 shortarm w/ adjustable links & Currectlink steering. Ball joints looked solid. So, after alignment by experienced 4x4 shop, Jeep pulling to right. Alignment guy said I need adjustable ball joint to correct camber. I...

    Another OPDA fail!

2003 TJR w/190K on it. Just bought an LJR w/80K on it & noticed OPDA rattle After engine check light came on. Here’s a pic of my cam gear. New Crown OPDA going in. Is this serviceable or should I replace the cam?

    Intermittent misfire

03 Rubicon 185k miles: I’m stumped! Intermittent miss @ hiway speeds: almost like a stumble or hitting a big bump. No ours wheeling or @ slow rpm’s. Feels like a intermittent bad coil pack would. I’ve replaced plugs, cam & crank sensors, cam sensor Driveshaft (OPDA on newer models), & coil...

How to properly tow your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I use simple trailer spring shackles. Mount goes into sub frame, bumperettes get moved outboard into new holes. Cheap & effective!

Looking for suggestions on new steering

Just to follow up, I went with the Currie Correctlink and the TJ is driving Great! Fortunately, the alignment shop had not drilled my steering knuckles so it was a direct swap out. Shop even credited me on the Rugged Ridge system they had installed! All good. Thanks, all for the advice!

Looking for suggestions on new steering

I normally handle my own wrenching. I have a shop behind my house with 2 post lift and my vehicles (Porsche Cayenne Diesel, Powerstroke Ford Diesel, 4 Jeep’s, couple of tractors & a skid steer) rarely see a mechanic. However, I’m working in Denver for 3 months & threw a lift under my TJ on my...

That is the Rugged Ridge conversion. For a little more than what they charged me for it, could have had Currie.. Track bar is new Metalcloak.

Thanks all for your input! Great info for a chat with the alignment shop. I know to avoid Rough Country But was out of town & discussed new steering linkage on phone as well as adjustable ball joints to correct some camber (not caster) issues which were probably non issues as well. Sorry about...

Looking for suggestions on new steering

2003 Rubicon. Freshly installed 31/2” Metalcloak short arm/long reach lift. Took it to alignment shop (recommended by 4WD place as who they use). New ball joints, new tie rod system, & $2K later it has a moment of play which is unsettling and handling worse than before lift. The tie rod system...
