Where to start? This Jeep was bought brand new by grandfather in 2000 and used daily until he passed away in 2002. It was driven by family for a few years after until some wires were torn from the bottom by stray dogs in 2006. I was away on active duty, so it sat for about a year until I came home on leave in 2007 and reattached the wires. It was driven occasionally after that until early 2009 when an electrical issue came up. I came back home at the end of 2009 and attempted to figure out what the problem was, but had limited time to work on it due to school and living an hour away. Therefore, it sat up until mid 2013, when my grandmother gave it to me. I moved it to my house and began working on it. I finally found the electrical issue to be a burnt wire in the main harness at the firewall. I fixed that and had it running for a little bit, then it started knocking on the top end. I paid to have the motor rebuilt. Ran ok for a year or so, then the trans went out, so I had to have it rebuilt. It ran good until mid 2016. Started overheating a lot. I replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, bypassed the heater core, and flushed the system. It would still run, but couldn’t make it a 1/2 mile before it overheated. I eventually just parked it where it has sat for about 3 1/2 years now. I finally pulled it into my shop and started working on it again. Just not sure where to start now.
