Securing your rear seat in the folded up position

I use an 18” rubber bendy tie like these. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nite-Ize-18-in-Gear-Tie-Propack-in-Black-6-Pack-GTPP18-01-R8/302560629 Never looked back

    Eyeballing engine pitch/angle

Not sure I really noticed this before redoing the frame at the center skid plate. I believe (just by eyeballing it) that my engine is pitched rearward a lot (like reverse raked “popping a squat”) If the Jeep sat level, is the valve cover supposed to be near level? 4.0 MT, no lift

    Fall wheeling in New England

I prob should join club out of Massachusetts. However, i don’t have FB, IG, or SC. What i have found online make the NE clubs seem “full” or somewhat exclusive. Anyone willing to PM me for guidance?

What color is it? Does it smell? Swab it with your finger and have a look see. Coolant, engine oil, PS fluid...

    Boat sides

Uploaded a new photo. It hasn’t busted thru yet but I live in Massachusetts. My previous 4runners have had similar and would poke thru by the end of the next winter (if that makes sense). I can’t really tell how bad. I bet w/ a good jab f a screwdriver, I could punch thru. So a “no” on boat...

    Boat sides

Just heard the term “boat sides”. Well I’m going to have to deal with this (photo) on both sides of the tub. My options are try my hand at welding some patches (i can weld flat bar stock, exhaust, yard equipment, etc- rough stuff) or “boat side” the tub. Iwill never rock crawl with it but will...

    Who has the best TJ?

Not the best but it’s a good Jeep. It’s known to have its shoes off when relaxing.

    Help removing fender flares

This... went with squeezing in cereal box cardboard to prevent overspray. At some point I’ll have to make the effort to spend a day getting them off like the others above. smh

Swapped out the factory rear bumper for the <$200 EAG. Quick review- they now weld the brackets to their bumper and you don’t need to assemble first. It is slightly wider than I’d like. Overall pleased. Images for your review. Oh- I also turned the heat on to bring down the engine temp “check...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Awhile ago I bought a direct plug-n-play pyle sub (~$20) off Amazon. Well 8 months later it died. So instead of making that mistake again I picked up the well renowned 6.75” kicker shallow and modified (cut) the center enclosure. I dusted off my vintage Fulton “200w” 2ch bridgeable. Amazingly...

Google “auxiliary stereo input hack”. I’ve done this on an 2005 Mazda. I soldered on the L/R cd outputs. Just burn a “music“ cd with no sound. Should be similar on the Jeep HU. Maybe easier if you have a tape deck

After some miles twitch my mirror relocated it decided to start folding in on hiway. A 7/64 drill bit, a long SS M3 machine screw and a nuts jammed as a stopper I set 2 locations. Drilled a w/ Doors hole locator, spun it around, used same fixed hole and drilled a w/o doors locator. Only went...
