Was hoping to avoid measuring - since I live in Ireland these rotors are special order, so it means measuring, reassembly, order, then replacement. Guess I've no choice though! Thanks mrblaine 👍

After reading all of this I'm delighted I cancelled my soft top order!

Sorry to revive a dead thread, I've been trying to order front rotors from my local parts store and they tell me there's two options - essentially it boils down to a 1/5" difference in width of the rotor as a whole - is there a way to pin down the correct rotor by vin? Cheers, Derek

Mine is the basic RAT and has the same thickness as the standard top. The premium top from bestop I believe is even thicker than the stock material

Forgot to post here yesterday so I'll do a two for one! Fitted a bestop RAT last night (absolutely love it) and just got done fitting the Smittybilt SRC roof rack - absolutely horrendous build quality but I got there in the end!

In fairness I was pushing pretty hard 😂

I guess it depends on how much of a hurry you're in for the parts, but I want the jeep summer ready so I wasn't prepared to wait and deal with estimates that I felt were being made up just to stall me!

Honestly my advice is to jump off the Quadratec ship. They don't have stock, they can't get stock, but they'll process your order and take your money and string you along as long as they can. Bite the bullet and go the Amazon route. Mine was delivered within a week with minimal fuss

My bestop RAT arrived today and I got it fitted, it's very easy to do. Definitely doable on your own, but much easier with a second pair of hands! Looks DAMN good now!

I guess all of em, I've not properly been underneath yet to see if they serve any support purposes. I imagine the transfer case plate will be a subframe also though, but I havent had a proper look yet.

So my TJ is and always will be an absolute mall crawler, and I'm not even sorry :LOL: Got to wondering if skid plates do anything structural or are they just extra armor (and in my case weight)?

I find the more weight I carry the more it costs me to get to the mall
